In terms of death and casualties – World War II
In terms of ineffectiveness – Vietnam War, Afghan War (Soviet) and finally… Iraqi War
i see this post was made in ’08 so i cant say much about the ineffectiveness of the war then but things have greatly improved. since summer ’09 deaths have decreased 17%.

The Crimean War, which fueled Russian animosity towards Western Europe. The Crimean War was the first war to be widely covered by reporters, and subsequently opened the citizens of Europe up to new violence because there hadn’t been any war for the new generations _

the worst war is world war 1 by far…due to the fact it was a stalemate until the enemy ran out of ammo, then you charge, then they are reloded, then you get cut donw by weapons.

What do you think was the worst war in history? One of the World Wars, Vietnam, or even the Revolutionary War. It’s your decision. Whichever one you pick though, make sure it’s a good one. Also, if you think the worst war is still to come, talk about that, too.
Regarding the Vietnam war, it was a very pathetic embarrassment to the Americans. To intimidate the Russians, they attack their allies, the Vietnamese. The Americans brought in all their most modern weaponry and most well trained soldiers. The Vietnam military (if you can call it that) had practically no training, horrible weaponry, (some old shitty infantry small arms.) some land mines and very primitive traps (like a hole with sharpened bamboo covered in their own fesses) and a few civilian vehicles. They didn’t seem like they would stand much a chance. How it turned out? The Vietnamese kicked the shit out of the Americans. Not just a stalemate, but kicked the SHIT out of them. Even while out-gunned and out-manned. The Americans said they “pulled out” but what they really did was run with their tail between their legs. I need to say that’s the most ironic war in history. As to the worst war in history, it’s yet to come. The next world war will be the end, unless the world makes a treaty that brings and end to WMD warfare. All it takes is a little spark between the U.S. and Russia to send the whole fucking world into flames.

World War 1 probably was the worst war I’ve learned about, one fact about it is that for the British army at the battle of the Somme, 100,000 soldiers would die for every mile gained. This is for one fighting force.
That, or the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. See what I did there?

World War I, and consequently, II.
If the Treaty of Versailles didn’t blame Germany entirely, World War II could have been avoided. Germany was not allowed to join the League of Nations at first, giving them the upper hand in that they weren’t being properly monitored. Then Neville stepped in and made things worse when he told everyone that Germany was done getting more land, giving them a further upper hand when people were convinced they were done. On top of that, many countries like Canada started to scrap their military supplies, trying to build industry instead.

The Treaty of Versailles is arguably the main cause of WWII, most of the countries involved exploited Germany, especially France, Churchill only did this to please the public though, who wanted to “squeeze them until their pips squeak”. Germany only had Ebert, who was quivering at the country he just decided to govern. Woodrow wanted Germany in the LoN, though no one else wanted to.
EDIT: I almost forgot.
Reparations, all them reparations…

This is a difficult question and it can’t be answered with one definitive war. so, in terms of…
Moral cause: World War II. Hitler may have wanted what was best, but he went about it the worst way, so he still didn’t have a good moral cause. Stalin was just fighting to gain land and power to take europle later, completely immoral. Japan was doing the same. Although America was only fighting for safety, which is just, they dropped two atomic bombs which was completely inexcusable, making them also unjust for causing irrepairable damage on the earth and the minds of the japanese.
Results: The Revolutionary War caused the split of the best and brightest empire of that time, Britain. The fate of the world was changed maybe for the better but probably for the worst by this unexpected war, but even so the worst in terms of results could probably be voted as World War I, because it created the sentiments that caused the start of WWII, which is the worst result of any war ever in terms of…
Death: Several times it was stated that this war had the highest ammount of total and civilian casualties.
Time: The Hundred Years’ War obviously or, more obscurely, the crusades and the jihad. Those haven’t yet ended and have taken, by far the most time, effort, and maybe even lives.
Fairness: In my opinion war can be fair. and the most unfair one was the Mexican-American War. There, America won every single major battle and i’ve read from many sources that the Mexicans never won even the most insignificant battle. That simply isn’t fair
But even with all these, the worst wars are yet to come. The one between America and China for instance will take many many lives, crush many many hopes, and defy almost all expectations. The worst war yet to come is Armegeddon. it will result as the worst in every category.

World War 1… because World War 2 only was able to happen because ww1 mad Germany bankrupt and basically third world, than Hitler swept to power, seducced the German people with lies, than we know what happened afterward. But if a ww3 happens, that would be the worst, because the only ones who would win ww3 would be the cockroaches and rats, who would have endless supplies on dead material to eat.
