I was told from a reliable source (A drunken Australian) that Australia would win every event, I trust his judgement!

No, we should be boycotting China and the false persona they put off with their ceremony. It is blatant lies. Their human rights abuses have actually gotten worse instead of better and they have broken promises such as to not censor internet for foreigners. IT is not an attack on the Olympics, it is an attack on China.
Again, I agree, but I don’t think that boycotting the Olympic Games is the best way to attack China. I’m perfectly fine with people criticising China during the Olympics, but boycotting the Games? Remember that the Olympics are still an international event. The Games should, or better yet, must remain untouched by whatever criticism or boycott China suffers. Refusing to participate the Olympics in order to attack China is not the best solution.
Maybe I’m being blindly optimistic, wanting to preserve what the Olympic Games represent, but I just can’t help it.

Don’t condemn China for the stuff they do when almost the same stuff happens in your own back yard.
