Should women fight in war? (on the frontlines)

Well I was on another site and someone posed a very problematic question. Should women be allowed to fight on the frontlines in infantry? This is a question I want to ask you guys and girls since it is new and has a good argument for both sides.

Pros: women treated as equals, more soldiers to fight, women could move in the ranks easier
Cons: periods, sexual harassment, physical limitations of women

i think it’s just great. you exclude women because of the danger that the men could not restrain themselves. i mean, let’s exclude black people from voting, there could be white supremacists at the polling place and they could start a fight!

I think they would be a distraction to the men, not just for that reason, but because they would rather protect them. On the other hand people are less likely to shoot a woman than a man.

What is wrong?

If they really want to I suppose they should be allowed to. Their training should be just a grueling as anyones and perhaps special attention to melee combat should be taken. I hate womens boxing cause no one get knocked out (usually) I also hate light weight UFC for the same reason. Men and women are very different physically, pretending that their not is kinda silly. On the other hand though, their are a growing number of female Marines who would tear any of our heads off like it wasn’t even a thing. So of course they should be able to fight on the front lines just like anyone, but not to prove something as much as to kill/save people by any means necessary.

I heard somewhere that mixed groups are more tolerant (and I believe so). In war, power abuse towards citizens is a big issue (if you are the victim). I don’t know to what extent women are more vulnerable (mentally) to a war situation, but at least they should be able to go when they want to. In that case I’m sure they’re just as tough.

I believe that women should be able to fight if they meet or exceed the physical expectations of soldiers as set by the military.

There is also a level of maturity required for interpretation, as in the penis is a physical feature. Not so much of the OMG ITSA PENOR QQ.

You may as well say you’re physically limited compared to a woman because you can’t bear children.

Excellent point unproductive, and I would consider any physical difference between males and females, and combinations of both, to be physically limiting in some way or another. That was what I was responding to in my original statement that damijin didn’t like because of its naughty words.

Women should be able to fight having demonstrated the same level of fitness skill and discipline that is expected of them as men.

Deny men the right to join and fight. Get all the nations to form an army of women and start WW3. Once a month all nations can invade Belgium and go on a chocolate binge.

ANYWAY, yes, I believe women should be alwed to fight. But they should not be given anything different than what is given for the men.

If you can go to work on your period, you can fight. And as I said, they can be dealt with in various ways. Access to birth control pills will help many of them, and there are more dramatic methods on top of that.
