AK 47 VS M-16,14, what do u think is better (locked)

What do u this is better ak-47 or m-14, or even m-16, even tho ak 47 is older than m-14 or m-16, i think that ak-47is better than both of them. They are the best that the U.S. and Russia (back then, now they got beter ak, like ak-109)can offer.SO WHICH ONE IS THE BEST.

You only need one good shot to kill somebody…thats where ak 47’s suck because you can barely aim them.

Well ak-47 is obviously is not a sniper rifle, with a m-16 u need to shoot for the head,the bullets are small and weak, itll take some bullets to kill some one, But with ak-47 u can like kill with one.ak-47 can shoot thu cement bricks, itll be like shooting thu 3 people in the stomach while with m 16 u go one by one

The AK-47 is a horrible weapon. A M-16A2 destroys it, a modified M-4 is far superior to an M-16 though. A FAMAS is a top notch weapon as well.

The AK-47 is a weapon for an untrained person. Easy to use, easy to fire, hard to hit your target. It is the ultimate spray and pray weapon. Both the M-4 and the M-16 will deliver more powerful shots with more accuracy. You have a good chance of surviving an onslaught from an AK-47, but you have little chance of standing against a 14 or a 16.

Billions of people are laughing at you. The U.S. uses an M16 because they know what they’re doing.

The fact that millions of poor militiamen in Africa and the middle east use the cheaper AK-47 while soldiers in the most advanced army in the world use the more expensive M16 doesn’t do a whole lot for your argument.

The AK-47 is actually an excellent weapon. The personel using the weapon makes a bigger difference.

not necessarily true. both of the ‘new’ smaller caliber slugs (5.45 and 5.56) are designed to break or tumble inside the target after travelling a short or medium distance (i believe up to 150 m, but don’t quote me on that). the afghan mudjaheddin called the russian rounds (5.45 mm) ‘poison bullets’ because the victims even died after being hit in the extremities because of blood loss or shock. my father had to use ak74s during his service in the east german army and they were taught the same. the m16 fires 5.56 nato rounds and these are designed in the same way. after a certain distance this dumdum effect disappears and the rounds become inferior to the bigger slugs of the ak47.
so your statement is only true for larger distances where the ak47 round remains deadly while the 5.56 loses its punch. but then again, as you said, the m16 is much more accurate in the hands of a untrained soldier, both because of the higher recoil of the ak and the flatter trajectory of the m16 bullets.
edit: another point would be reliability. especially the m16 was infamous for its low tolerance to dirt and gunpowder remains while aks are said to still function immediately after being dugg out of a backyard stash in some desert town.

in the end, both of the contenders are inferior to something like the hk417 which has the big rounds of the ak47 and its reliability while at the same time having the accuracy of the m16/m4 production line.
