The End.

So you’re trying to say there’s more than a correlation between “casualties” and “your perception of greatness of the country in WW II”? That’s possible, but it doesn’t say anything worthwhile. See, my casualties during WW II were 0. Does that mean I’ve had the best impact?

He was referring to military position in terms of fortitude I think; personal victories are basically irrelevant in this context although they do augment the cause of warfare.

ehhh.. what do you want? go to sleep lol

WHAT did U.S. do in the ww2 besides one “D” day, vs Soviet Union, who done the most part.If u think the that Russia didnt do the most, then why would most German troops be in France,(waiting for D day?), when the rest of the east and middle Urope is occupied. The most Germans where on the front trying to occupy new lands and Soviet Union beat them all back by them selves, the Americans just swept the leftovers that were still there, the Americans only fought at the end, to put there name in like thay participated in war too.

USSR Military casualties 8,800,000 to 10,700,000

USA Military casualties 416,800

The End.

USA Mental Retardation During WWII (1-10): 1
USSR Mental Retardation During WWII (1-10): 14

Please pardon us for not telling our own boys to charge across fields in order to clear them of mines.
There’s a reason the USSR had so many bloody casualties.

Conclusions based on numbers that do not relate directly to the statistics are opinions, though.

No. Axis invaded USSR with a total of 6 milion soldiers (39 -44), over 3000 tanks, 5000 aircrafts and 50k artilleries..
More than enough to conquer USA 5 times…

Edit: and please dont use terms like Mental Retardation.. it’s offensive and childish.. this is a serious discussion lol

1. That would not conquer the US even once. You should probably research US military history, numbers, prowess, production abilities, and power. Not to mention the geography of this country. (Hint: the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are a real bitch).
2. I don’t care if it’s offensive. If I’m stepping on your toes, then you can leave. I’m not going to censor myself for the sake of you or for the sake of being politically correct.
3. Read about the USSR and how those communist bastards treated their soldiers. Ever heard of the KGB? Barrier troops?
“If we come to a minefield, our infantry attacks exactly as it were not there.”-Commander Zhukov
You ever heard about any of this? Have you ever read about any of this? The Russians treated their own men like dog shit. Many of them were simply handed ammunition and told to find a damn gun.
In the Soviet Army, you couldn’t retreat, you couldn’t fall back, you just had to charge, regardless of how much equipment you possessed, into enemy lines. If you wouldn’t face German bullets, you were going to face Russian ones. In other words, there’s a reason why the commies you so dearly love lost so many men.

We’ve never had anything close to communism in the world, scoopolard. All these “communist” societies have had some of the worst aspects of it.

That said, the Russians were all drunk on vodka – 99% Russian piss, and Russian piss is 99% vodka. Kinda a paradox. :D

Then again, if the US hadn’t intervened in WW1, fascism and communism would have never come about either….

America should have minded her own business and stayed out of the World War. If you hadn’t entered the war the Allies would have made peace with Germany in the Spring of 1917. Had we made peace then there would have been no collapse in Russia followed by Communism, no breakdown in Italy followed by Fascism, and Germany would not have signed the Versailles Treaty, which has enthroned Nazism in Germany. If America had stayed out of the war, all these ‘isms’ wouldn’t to-day be sweeping the continent of Europe and breaking down parliamentary government, and if England had made peace early in 1917, it would have saved over one million British, French, American, and other lives. -Winston Churchill

I think there is a lesson to be learned here.

Actually it was the U.S. that was in favor of a not-so-harsh punishment for Germany. Pressure from the U.K. and France was what put Germany into a downward spiral of depression and gave rise to a Mr. Adolf Hitler

Yes. Yes. I’ve heard it all before. “Communism has never been given a proper go. We should try it again.” Yeah…I’m just gonna go ahead and say that there’s a reason it has never worked.

Kind of unrelated, but that reminds me of the Russian Campaign in the first Call of Duty. You see a Russian soldier get shot diving out of a boat and swimming away, and you are giving only 5 rifle rounds and sent into Stalingrad. The Russians really did treat their soldiers like shit then instead of human lives that you don’t simply throw at the enemy.

Yeah, they pretty much did that sort of stuff.
Every other soldier getting a rifle, picking up rifles from the dead soldiers. If you retreated, Russians with better guns would shoot you. If you ran forward, German machine gun fire would cut you down.
It really sucked, but it also worked.

If by “worked”, you mean “won the war”, then yes, that would be correct…otherwise…
