I think economic factors play the larger role in commission of crimes.

Economic, cultural, at least not racial.

Let’s round up the criminals by their gender and if one of them commits drastically more crimes than the other make a thread about it and say it’s a problem that needs to be adressed. What could possibly go wrong with it?

indirectly it does contribute, because of the conditions children are raised in, which are never as good for poor people because most of the things that would create positive conditions for children to be raised in are considered luxuries.

also using national statistics to prove points about ethnicity isn’t too great. crime rates are highest in areas that traditionally had a lot of turbulence…those areas also used more slaves, hence they have a larger black population.

blacks mostly only kill other black gang-members. this is a major problem within the lower-class black communities of the South. the Netherlands has the same degree of mixed ethnicities and yet have no where near the homocide rate. this is clearly more than just a racial issue. it’s a societal issue.

did you also mention that blacks have a far higher child-mortality rate, illiteracy, AIDS… and yet no Serial Killers, fewer suicides, eating disorders…

i don’t know about getting mad more easily, but anyway, even Chris Rock has said things more racist than that. i hate racists as much as anyone, but we don’t have to be absolutist about it.

Seriously, even if there are trends within races, there’s no way we can unilaterally state stuff like that.
