@Lucas Socialism is bad because America was set up to be a country where the citizens were FREE to pursue their own dreams. Socialism takes that freedom away from us and generally makes things worse when the government is up in our business. It doesn’t matter if there is a Republican or a Democrat as the president, the more the government stays out of it, the better, and it has always been that way. If you want to see what happens when the government gets up in peoples business too much look at The Great Depression. This is one reason why the Health Care law is so bad, because the government is controlling it.

Depends on the Christian. I usually prefer not to bring religion into things because there are so many misconceptions. I’m a Christian. In contrast (as an example), I don’t think jhco is, although he was raised with Christian beliefs. I never fully understood—although I guess it makes a little sense—why people assigned religion to political parties. It always seemed rather stereotyped to me.
