Apparent maturity is clearly following orthodoxy and not making a “fool” of yourself (i.e. blending in.) Real maturity is more of a philosophical trait. At least that’s what I think.

In my estimation, being aware and considerate of people around you is a crucial part of maturity. Basic respect for other people, but furthermore, thinking about how what you say and do affects and is perceived by others.
