What will happen—it sinks into the ocean? No matter how shitty a presidency, or how the policies change, it’s still there in some capacity. If you guys don’t like the way things are, research the candidates and get out and vote. Sorry to sound cliched, but “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Its “is some capacity” that bothers me. I agree…vote. I have never missed a presidential vote since I was old enough to pull a lever.
BTW, my trailer is fully licensed now and ready for the road. It is now complete after my jumping through hoops for 4 days. Wow.

Why does that term bother you? It’s just to demonstrate a point. Like California, for example—it might go bankrupt, but it’s not going anywhere. It certainly won’t cease to exist.

Did you hear on the news today that the European Union is poised to go bankrupt? I expected some of the countries to go under, but I heard the UK is about to go under. Surprisingly, Wall street went wild with buying. Go figure.

I agree, his newest circus show http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/06/15/obama-administration-to-offer-immunity-to-younger-immigrants/ does this jerkoff ever get tired of buying votes?

Libertarian, but because of the controlling two party system I would probably lean toward republican.

Oh wow, the Obama haters here read Fox News and are conservative. I wonder why would that be.

You know, it makes me feel proud to see more and more conservatives and Libertarians on this site.

I’m going to go ahead and ask why you would be “proud” of that. When people share my viewpoint, I usually am glad, as they understand what I’m thinking. It would mean they’d vote for similar parties, turning the country into what I expect to be best. But being proud of them?

Why not? In my opinion, they are matured in their political views, possessing an independence that is admirable instead of falling in with the sheep crowd.

A lot of us don’t listen to the Fox News. You are claiming something you have no way of knowing. right now, I am listening to Public Broadcasting.

Well, there’s “a lot” conservative….and then, there’s A LOT conservative,,,,as in this fucked up “rabid right” that has tacitly become the (ONLY currently?) belle of the ball of political ideology. While some of YOUR ideology has a taint of odor of "respecibility….for the most part, it would appear that YOU yourself do nothing more than “fall in with the sheep crowd”.
While YOU did YOUR usual “tricks” of shuck-&-jive about how YOU are ""…right now, listening to Public Broadcasting""——THAT is NOT a real denial that YOU do receive a huge amount of YOUR “political education” from Fox and/or other extremely biased sources.
AND, ya trot out another of your deceptive practices of ASSUMING that: “‘A lot of us don’t listen to the Fox News.”" YOU do know that such “assuming” is 2nd cousin to hyperbole,,,exaggeration,,desperate attempt to inflate what likely is fact which is true in only a very limited amount?
As Darkruler points out, I too would reserve being “proud” of a fact that involved merely a superficially coincidental appearance—as opposed to a much deeper proof of consensus on important ideologies…ideological positions that coincide WITH THE TRUTH rather than begin w/ it and then spin out of control.
YOU don’t really know from whence & the actual depth of their “thinking” on their particular “brand” of conservatism. For a guy who sez the govt sent him to school (on a “free ride”…NO student loan?) and received a BA/BM degree….YOU certainly have a difficult time using words, having a sensible vernacular with which to more accurately describe realistic, rational positions on issues here.
It’s like tenco said, YOUR continued (after being “called” on it) “liberal” use of the pronoun “WE” (w/ no real antecedent) when talking about ppl who agree w/ YOUR ideological positions,,,,is just another indication of YOUR need for exaggeration,,,,which only serves to further weaken YOUR positions on these issues.
If I were you, I wouldn’t put all that much “stock” in what SanitonioSpurs says. While he’s somewhat “traveling in the right direction” on this description of Obama’s administration years….he’s traveling fast, furious, wide, & deceptive w/ the actual truth involved in this direction. He’s as accomplished in this as is the “rabid right” dispensers of dogma. This causes me to merely believe he is quite adept at parroting (almost verbatim?) those dispensers.
My sources, far more UNBIASED, tend to show quite a much better picture on these issues. jhco’s inflated numbers of ppl on who his “we” is reflects (in MY opinion) the inanity of the rabid right’s inanity….OR, insanity. This is shown in how the entire mass media soooo luvs to also enhance (exaggerate) their financial bottom line by focusing on this political circus known as the “neo-conservatism” and their extremist ideology.
The thing of it is, this ideology has ALWAYS BEEN AROUND….just not in today’s somewhat greater numbers….numbers that likely reflect the “follow-like-sheep” mentality that is nothing more than a typical reaction to: I saw it on Fox & it “sounds like” it is something remotely close to what I think//believe….so, I guess I should jump on the bandwagon and “think” it, too.
This very vocal rabid right minority is going to be in for quite a shock as voters turn out in droves to replace the “do-nothing”//obstructionist (at great cost//harm to America) Republicans that were voted in 2 yrs. ago….replace them w/ sensible Democrats & moderate Republicans who can work together to help America roll up her sleeves and endeavor to show the stuff that once made her great. AND, I don’t mean the shit that has been arrogantly ignorant of the capabilities//importance of other nations.

Ninj…ya just pointed out how he uses EXAGGERATION to support his points. ""…won’t exist."",,,,what a load of “baby-diaper-bulge”.
AND, be it “cliched” or not…your statement there is as poignant as it is directly to the point on a SOLUTION. Too many ppl focus faaarrr tooooo much on what is “wrong” (bitching about the “problems”) and faaaar toooo little on looking for SOLUTIONS to those problems.

Cute, the “baby-diaper-bulge” one I have never heard before, but I had to laugh.
So again you posted nothing pertaining to the OP and used your time to try and insult me. That’s ok, it is the only way people like you can operate when your idealism is going down the drain. No intelligent argument, just insults. Must be sad to be you.
Now why don’t you go back to the OP and let us know what political party you are? It only takes a few words.

Tell ya what, when currrent “politics” actually becomes a (fun?) “party” rather than a fucking “CIRCUS”…..
THEN, I will (MAYBE) be able to give a much clearer concept of what my affiliation is….
As it is…..I think it is pretty much obvious to most on here (the ones that matter to me, anyway) already know where (at least on the surface) my ideology lies. THEN, there is YOU….ya do a dandy job of placing me pretty much anywhere ya want//need to in order to support a weak position.
Since YOU so luv to call me a “liberal”…..
I congratulate ya on—for at least once on this forum—being accurate.
Yes, I espouse liberalism as a very basic, challenging, important, righteous ideology to “follow”.
AND YET, being the very “complex” guy I am….I also very well understand, respect, and often share (to varying degrees) some strong positions w/ TRATITIONALIST CONSERVATIVES. This fucking take-over of the Republican Party by the neo, rabid-right is what is currently upsetting the “political spectrum balance” and is causing harm to America that will take several generations to overcome…if at all in some areas.
As I’ve said before, my PPP (political party preference) is entirely dependant upon the issue at hand. Here in Kansas—a heavily Republican “red” state—I’m registered as a Republican. This way, I can ensure,,, by voting IN the primary election (which decides which Republican will run against the Democrat),,,that I will have a representative (though s/he be a Republican….Demo’s rarely win) who shares my core beliefs the closest.
Here in Kansas….the Republican primary for state offices IS THE ELECTION.
NOW,,,, arnchya glad ya asked? 0¿~

Very interesting. You are a well rounded guy with all of the bases covered. There has been very “leetle”, as you would say, conservatism shown so be patient with my placing you in the liberal camp. You know with the support for gay marriage, abortion, open boarders, and such. Perhaps I was a bit hasty in calling you a far left socialist/liberal.
I do agree, we have a circus in Washington and to be honest, I’m not sure that will end without a really big turnover of lifetime politicians…both parties.
I must say I actually enjoyed reading your last post.

I don’t think I’d fit in any of the parties in my country. But if I had to pick one, I’d say the Pirate Party of the USA.
My political compass
I think the best description for me is: anarcho-communist.
