Yes, and we would end up with 10 total threads in SD. Religion, Politics, Science, Math, etc. Why all the various religious threads? Why the various threads about politics?

Unfortunately we have a long history of letting outward appearance influence how we judge and approach others. It just goes to show that the self-proclaimed advanced and accepting society of ours really hasn’t made any progress at all.

Well its not really them looking like fools, its them being much more expressive than other people.
Its a good way of sticking v’s up to homophobes, a good way of saying ‘I really don’t care what you think, I’m enjoying myself’. It wouldn’t be much of a parade if they dressed more soberly than Cliff Richard on a Sunday, would it?

Its not a moronic thread, I think it is a good thing to discuss.

Except it’s a terrible idea, the people who want it only to troll, and the admins have already said “No” to such things, so why discuss it?

Just because the admins said no, it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be up for discussion. Some people do think its a terrible idea, some evidently don’t, thats what discussions are all about. I personally do think its a bad idea, but I think it is worth discussing.

You seem to have a problem with consistency.

Just because the admins said no, it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be up for discussion.

Why? The entire purpose stated in the OP was to “protest” to get the room created. The room has already been explicitly said no to.
