But how do we determine what’s controversial or not? Some people feel very strongly about particular things, things that are not discussed widely. In an otherwise harmless topic, such as spider classifications or something, someone might just explode because DAMN TAXONOMY ANYWAY and F**K BIOLOGISTS, etcetera. It would still cause controversy and flaming. There’s no way to avoid fighting and pain. This is the internet.

What you call fighting we call debating, and I’ve never seen anyone be hurt by an online discussion. If everyone agrees, what’s the point in discussing it?

The list was a bit general and boring, and not really specific to the internet. It missed some really obvious things such as Mac vs PC etc.

Not a very good list at all.

Gravity isn’t a fact, it’s patchy at best.

Heliocentrism isn’t a fact, it’s patchy at best.

did you know 90% or more of sd is made of stuff on that list thats the point of sd to discuss sed things and serious things those are and whoever wrote the kist isent thinking well its what smart ppl should talk about.

And you wonder why your accounts keep getting perma’d…
