Affirmative Action

I not very informed in this area but I would like to get other peoples’ thoughts on the subject. My personal opinion is that it is racist or sexist or whatever ist the case may be. Its obviously true that in the past people were discriminated against for vaious reasons and that wasnt fair. But trying to make up for it by making them more privilaged is to put it simply: kind of stupid. I think the aim should be that everyone is equal. If you are the best candidate for a job or a college place then you should get it. Full stop. (period for the americans)

Your right but politicians are so nervous about there image they will either go one way,lets clueclux clan ‘em or the other, throw money and jobs at them. In this day and age you can be viewed as racist for saying black. Their are also people who are too proud of there racial heritage who are like "I’m black deal with it" if you look at them. The world is messed up. Death to political correctness.
