This forum is for more open, in-depth discussion. There could be opinions that you may find inappropriate or offensive here. If you don’t think you can discuss controversial topics without getting angry or upset, hold back and don’t post yet.

Don’t troll or be a jerk.
Stay on topic within a thread.
Check to see if a thread already exists for your topic.
If you make a new thread, make sure the topic is something that can be discussed or is relevant to the forum. The opening post should be more about inviting discussion and asking rather than asserting.
Provide justification for what you say when possible.
Obvious things like: don’t post sexually explicit links, spam, excessive profanity.
I humbly bow to your stick authority :P
Grab some more from here though :)
Were having a pretty good discussion.
Edit: i just read that quote you obviously seen that thread :| why then…why :(
> Are you allowed to post stuff like sexually explicit links if you warn?
tbh, i don’t know if there are any legal implications there, and i don’t think there’s any case where it would be necessary to post it or find out right now. so no.
Well I wasn’t really saying I was about to post porn, I guess I’m just asking whether you hold the posters of links responsible for links’ content as much you would their posts even if they add disclaimers.
\>Try it see what happens.
Fear of hell isn’t why I make moral decisions. Something similar applies to time I spend on forums.
I don’t see why we shouldn’t be able to, as long as it’s clearly relevant to the topic at hand, and you don’t inline them. After all, a discussion about “Is pornography art?” will pretty clearly have links to examples.
I don’t see any good reason to include inappropriate links even with disclaimers. This is still primarily a gaming site with younger kids and we don’t need to be the ones pointing them anywhere questionable. We don’t want to have to say ‘stay out of Serious Discussions young ones, it’s for adults’ either.
> I never read this sticky before, but I guess I’ve been doing okay.
It was posted only a couple of days ago ;)
Nithos, that proverb, I just read that mentioned in a book like 10 minutes ago! I know this is a little off topic… but I just wanted to point out the coincidence. Nicolae : Rise of AntiChrist (third book in the Left Behind series) just mentioned that proverb. Great.
Should there be personal problems allowed in Serious Discussion? I understand if they shed some light on a wider issue, but many of them…just don’t.
There are forums for self-help all over the internet, I just don’t see why so many decide to use this forum…which is ostensibly not for such a purpose.
