What’s amusing is that historically the mongols converted to the host religion and culture of a country they conquered. Like the Mughal Empire for example…Hey, aren’t you Pakistani? So odds are good you’ve got some Mughal in you. In short:
1) The American Empire is nothing like the Mongols.
2) A number of Islamic dynasties were founded on Mongol rule.
All right, enough irony for one day.</blockqoute>

Why do you hate the USA?
because they are pricks about their own government. every government has done bad things, but Americans are droned to stay convinced of their superiority, while their government continues to do evil. look up Murnat Kurnaz to know what i mean.
they are major criminals, and many people know it and in fact are trying to sue them, but in practice they are immune which means america is a dictatorship. talk about elections all you want, if you can’t sue them when they commit war-crimes, something is really wrong.
Why do you hate the capitalism?
because it is a society where economy play a major role, and this economy is plutocratic rather than democratic, which means a tyranny of the few.
What are the sins of USA?
vanity, greed, pride, and vanity.
What is the future of the States?
fortunately it is collapsing in on itself. i just hope they won’t get desperate before their military might decreases.

Well, I’m not sure if Omega is trolling or not but in any case I disagree with him and I’ll try to play Devil’s advocate here.
Why do I hate the US?
I don’t although we do have our problems, a fair few of them (in my opinion) from our love of oil and the disastrous 8 years of the Bush presidency.
Why do I hate capitalism?
I don’t hate capitalism and it’s a damn sight better than communism. Personally I prefer socialism but that’s mostly because our system of capitalism is broken. If it was improved and provided better and was fairer to all citizens I would like it better (i.e. more socialist).
What are the sins of the US?
Too numerous to count, Iraq and Vietnam have been two, Afghanistan is looking somewhat like a third. Here I’d like to depart a bit from the topic and defend my country. We have been labeled interfering imperialists before (not without reason), we have been called haters of Muslims (certainly true of some of our citizens), however, in the long run America generally helps countries. I am personally a supporter of non-interventionism, but please allow me to play Devil’s advocate here. What countries have in the long term been hurt by American involvement in their affairs, Vietnam, North Korea, Iraq, Iran and maybe Afghanistan. Other than those five countries who else has truly been hurt? Very few if any, that’s who.
What is the future of the States?
I don’t know but I hope it’s bright. I feel confident that if Obama is reelected then we will remain a dominant country well in to the 21st century, however, I feel a Republican in office would slow and/or reverse Obama’s progress and hurt the country in the long term, Obama is playing the long game.
Am I happy to be a citizen?
Yes, I am. All though my country isn’t perfect it’s better than most others.

I don’t know why you guys hate America, just because we were the richest country on earth before Obama took over. Don’t you guys worry, if he gets in again we will be a 3rd world country and our children can live on the streets. Won’t that make you all feel good? Of course at that point you may see why Americans (the people) can be a force to be reckoned with.
Get ready because Obama has taken us from a #1 nation to #2. China is now #!. That makes England #3 and the rest of you somewhere below that. Communism rules in China and I don’t think they have any qualms of invading your countries. Then you can become communist, cool huh? And America won’t be able to help you because we won’t be a leader anymore.
Yeah, you all hate America. When the chips fall down and you are in dire trouble, you will be on your own. Good luck with that.

Personally, I’ll feel pretty good when Obama gets re-elected and the fringe right comes to grips with the fact that they don’t speak for ‘the people’ and never have.

Wow, extremist much? I hate it when people make broad statements like, “We won’t even be a country anymore”. Like I stated previously, we may be a little more right or left, depending on who is elected, but these broad extrapolations are just silly.

Sometimes nativity is good, but other times it isn’t such a good thing. I have never seen our country in this kind of shape in my life. We have never been in this kind of debt, we have never lost our AAA credit rating, we have never had so many homes foreclosed on. We have not seen unemployment like this before. None of this has been like this since the Great Depression. If you think what is happening to our country is a good thing, I feel sorry for you.
Obama has given us more debt than all of the previous administrations in history, combined. This is what is going to kill us. for all practical purposes, China and Japan own us. I just can’t imagine you not seeing this.

I think people are aware of the economic crisis, they just may not take the same opinion as you that ‘Obama obviously created it and it’s all his fault, that maniac!’
And that is just an opinion. A short-sighted opinion based heavily on your own fringe-right ideology rather than solid evidence.

Jan, granted Bush had spent more money than he should have on the wars. Why we went to war on two fronts I have no idea. But Obama has been in office almost 4 years and nothing has changed. Unemployment is still high and foreclosures are rising again. It is not an opinion when it is right in our faces. Our country is in trouble and the people are getting more and more angry. Pray tell me what Obama has done good for this country.

Well, just offhand, killed Osama Bin Laden, crushed Al Qaeda, and pulled all troops out of Iraq. Which already makes him about a zillion times a better president than his predecessor, you know, the guy who created the recession, started that war, didn’t find Osama?
Economically? I have no idea. It’s not my area of interest. But I do know that anybody would’ve been hard pressed to solve the economic crisis in the space of one term.

We shall see what the other side can do. Our country can’t continue like we are going. I had to laugh at some of the speeches Obama is giving. He is trying so hard to come across as more conservative. “I am opening the offshore drilling so we can be energy independent!” Of course he could have allowed the pipeline from Canada. “We are going to help the small business!”, yet all he has done this far is run them out of business. Now he is going to help the homeowners. He will allow us to refinance. Right, like we can afford to increase our houses that are underwater already. The NDAA…what can I say. HE is providing healthcare for the whole country, yet we now have more people without any insurance than before he pushed it through.
Now don’t get me wrong, he isn’t all to blame. The NDAA was a joint effort with the congress. We need to replace career politicians in congress…both parties. Obama will go down in history as the worst president we have ever had. the other leaders laugh at him. They ignore him.

I don’t know why you guys hate America, just because we were the richest country on earth
I would say it is a legitimate reason to at least dislike America, but not in the sense you might think. There are many poor countries in the world, and many people there would just as much like to have the luck to be born in a wealthy nation.
Don’t you guys worry, if he gets in again we will be a 3rd world country and our children can live on the streets.
You would have said the same about any president having been in his place during this time. Any. Why? Because, as Jant argued, these are difficult times and it’d be a miracle if any one person could make decisions that would “save” your country. Obama did nothing wrong, and the people hate him for it. Then the next president comes in, gets lucky the crisis finally gets back to normal without doing shit, and the people will love him for it. That’s just ridiculous. And no, just because you have something against him does it mean if he gets elected atomic bombs will fall all over America.
Get ready because Obama has taken us from a #1 nation to #2. China is now #!. That makes England #3 and the rest of you somewhere below that.
I’m not sure what you mean with “#1 nation”. Wealth? Military power? Personal view?
Communism rules in China and I don’t think they have any qualms of invading your countries.
Perhaps some evidence on China actually being in the mood to conquer the world?

Or even some evidence that communism still rules in China. They might still call themselves that, but they’re nearly as capitalistic as the US nowadays.
If anything the Chinese would either
a) Buy up chunks of land in countries desperately seeking debt relief and make big on them.
b) Wait a bit till things get truly desperate and simply annex territory.
More likely b. They don’t need to invade (or even attack) America to conquer it. One could say they’ve already laid the groundwork.
That whole #1 nation stuff (that doesn’t actually make a lick of sense even before the recession)? Yeah. ’Nother reason the world hates the US.

Being a wealth nation is not a reason to dislike it. Yes there are poor countries, held down by greedy dictators or in some cases because they don’t care about wealth. I didn’t chose to be born in this country. It is just how it is, but I sure don’t expect others to disrespect my country because theirs is not performing up to their desires.
Yes, I would have said the same about any president that has performed as Obama has. These are difficult times because the present administration made all of the wrong moves. Many of the things Obama has done harken back to the great depression. He is mimicking FDR on many of his policies And getting the same results. Just today he announced bringing back the CC camps.
If we get a president that brings us out of this mess, he will deserve to be hailed and admired. He is going to have to reverse almost everything this president has done. I have listened to interviews the media has done with voters and they are really displeased with our candidates, but they will vote for one because they are even more displeased with the current leadership.
America has been the leader in it’s economy, military, and inventiveness for many years.
I’m not going looking for a link, but China has stated, a few years ago, that it would eventually go to war with the US. But with the military they are building, they could take over the world. China is a big, and now, wealthy country. Most of the other countries are barely keeping afloat financially while china is buying tons of gold. I heard it on the news this evening. They are also the leading producers of gold in the world. Now tell me which country is the wealthiest now?

Jan, we were the last super power. Although we have given that up and China is going to be the super power. And yes, they have laid the groundwork for taking America. We helped them by borrowing ourselves in a hole.

you couldn’t be more wrong. America’s wealth didn’t fall because of Obama. it fell because of its extreme debt, because of economic failings that started during Bush’s terms, and because of game-of-chicken style of politics played mostly by Republican conservatists.
China has Authoritarianism, not Communism. they have capitalised.
England is nowhere near #3. why do anglophonics keep thinking that? obviously Japan and Germany are well ahead of England.
and the entire world agrees that America is the biggest threat to world security atm. but i guess all the world is wrong, huh?
oh, and obviously noone hates america cause it’s rich.

As I have said before, Bush was no angel and racked up some debt, but you have to admit Obama has put new meaning to the definition of debt. He has taken us to $15 trillion dollars of dept and he is still not through spending. The dept didn’t make us fall, it was speculation by the financial system. Half the homes in the US don’t have the original deeds, they have been lost as the banks turned to computers to track the rapid exchange of mortgages. This is just the catalyst that took us down and is what we call the real estate bubble. The market was already unstable. Obama chose to help the financial markets because he felt they were too big to fail, but they weren’t. He should have let them fail to allow other more stable organizations take over. It was a big screw up on his part, not Bush’s. He then ignored the consumer portion of the country thinking they all had huge savings account and could spend our way out of this mess…they didn’t, they were also deep in debt. This was another miscalculation on his part. Then, in the middle of our debt problems he pushed Obamacare down our throats, a huge money pit we can’t afford. He has made one mistake after another while trying to blame Bush for everything. But that is how the younger generations are, they never take responsibility for their mistakes, it is always someone elses fault.
You can’t speak for the whole world as to us being the biggest threat to world security. I don’t think we are the biggest threat and you can just look at the middle eastern countries and the civil wars there to realize this. I really don’t like us trying to be the policemen of the world, but I realize why. The same people who want all of the liberal ideals are the same ones who think we should protect the downtrodden in other countries from their governments or the neighboring countries. We need to stop this.

And the only thing that’s longer running and more repetitive than the Republican primaries are this argument.
But really.

And that is precisely why America can be so good- even when we have major problems, we can, you know, rectify them (although we’ve been a bit slow for most of the detainees- no prison in the US is willing to accept the detainees so far), and Murat Kurnaz was released. Although treated poorly, that was the problem with the last administration- to willing to blow off everyone else to violate human rights and the Constitution. Can’t really base America off its worst cases and then refuse to look at the good. Then every nation is bad.
Why do you hate the capitalism?
because it is a society where economy play a major role, and this economy is plutocratic rather than democratic, which means a tyranny of the few.
And once again, this is another reason why America is good. A society where an economy plays an important role allows for a far more fluid system. Before economic standing became important in society, we had, you know, systems where birth determined your social privileges. A society based upon the economy brings about a far fairer system than anything else, and don’t you dare say communism. Also, the people still hold the voting power. There is just a large group that thinks that voting with corporations is a good thing. Bit of an odd thing, but hey, it was either that or rampant corruption.
What are the sins of USA?
vanity, greed, pride, and vanity.
Can’t deny that our society does have some of those traits, but hey, the stock of the nation was built upon those who came over here to build a new life. So yes, they were often greedy and self centered but they were willingly and able to do whatever was needed to succeed. That’s why America became such a great nation in such a short time: half of the world’s third largest country was effectively civilized in a handful of decades by such individuals.
What is the future of the States?
fortunately it is collapsing in on itself. i just hope they won’t get desperate before their military might decreases.
Not likely. This is just a downturn, and we’re already coming back up. If China collapses, the US will be more than capable of maintaining its superpower status.

what?? are you seriously excusing putting and keeping a 19 year old guy in prison for 6 years without due process or trial, against treaties you signed to give him to his own country, even though you know him to be innocent, torturing him throughout, trying to manipulate him to sign a confession by toruture and by telling him he will be released if he signes and never be released if he doesn’t by saying ‘oh well, he was released in the end, so’…
and that even when he was only released because they had to, while others just like him were still kept locked up?
i’m sorry, but you are just dispicable. goodbye.
