i guess obvious troll is obvious, but still, i hate how they make all Americans look bad so they can get their little rush from an argument. and i stick by what i said earlier, all countries are worth something, even sealand, which is good for the occasional laugh here and there, so it does serve some purpose.

It depends what definition of ‘worth’ you are using. Most people would be thinking of it in monetary terms, so the country with the least GDP would probably suffice, even if it doesn’t take into account other factors.

Everyone missed my Iceland joke earlier. It wasn’t much of a joke, but it was a good attempt…

I didn’t read it, but I’m guessing it was a jibe on how the Iceland supermarket chain is disgustingly cheap no? If so, lol.

No, it was on the country’s economic collapse, but I could have done that one too. So many jokes, so little time.

True. Damn, I knew my guess was too unsophisticated for the likes of serious discussion. Ah well.

I think it would be bad to say a country is worthless. Even the most unimportant countries can contribute in some small way.

Any particular reason why? Also, I dislike North Korea immensely. They’re digging themselves into a hole as we speak.

Indeed. I tried to keep the thread lighthearted and not-flametastic with the line about sealand, but clearly, it didn’t work.

Just make some minor edits. For every post, put words like “candy” and “happiness” within every other word. That usually works.
For instance:
Any candyland particular gumdrop reason sunshine why? Super Also, smiling I chocolate dislike cookies North love Korea immensely.

Reverse nationalism? I guess the title implies the whole contents of the country is useless, but is it really that hard to use your imagination when someone says they hate North Korea? I don’t think they mean “Let’s kill everyone in North Korea and then use bulldozers to push it into the ocean.” I think they mean “Man if someone invaded them and killed all of the tyrannical or apathetic leaders in a coup d’état, I wouldn’t really be too upset about UN violations.”

Correct, but many of the posts sounded like, “Hey, the people there are dipshits, so they really don’t deserve to live.”

Well North Korea isn’t exactly a good place to live but in areas of Africa like Dem. Rep. of the Congo there is unbelievable poverty and not to mention rebel violence

When I think of a country, I normally think of the government, not the citizens. In general, there is nothing wrong with a country’s citizens. However, in some countries, the government is corrupt or futile, and, therefore, useless. I base my judgements politically, not on what I think of those that live there.

As long as this topic stays within reason, I’m fine with it staying open. There should be no random attacks on countries.
Personally, I don’t dislike any country. Sure, you’ll always find negativities, but taking for example a country with a corrupt government wouldn’t imply the entire country is inhabited by primate cannibals (or so to say). I believe most of this reasoning is only towards how the humans are there. If we are really going to look at a country, we need to look at the climate and environment as well.

So. Tangent.
The most worthless country, fiscally, as of 2008?
Niue
With a nominal GDP of 10,010,000 (Compare to the US’s 14.23 trillion).

Considering costs vs profits, I have to jump on the bandwagon; Sealand.
Other than bad joke and movie of the week fodder, it doesn’t really provide much in the realm of exports. And you know, maintaining that place has got to cost a pretty penny. So Sealand, definently Sealand.
