i never mentioned any of that……….

You made it sound like a paradise for dealers, and I blew that fantasy to pieces. It’s ok, you can cry on my shoulder.

a single homless man with out a family would love to be in jail for the most part. a minor crime such as stealing food from a grocery store or peeing in a public place, or even selling durgs and geting cought on purpose would do the trick if you want to go to jail.
A bolivan farmer that produces crack to support a family should not try to get arrested, much rather make the money and support his family as best he can.

I agree with woody on this one, end te war on drugs immediately.

On a side note isnt it funny how in America we declare war on all our problems- War on Drugs, War on Crime, War on Poverty, ect

not nessisaraly dealers but poor homless people over all in the U.S. for example. i know larry, he sleeps on a bench cold and wet when it rains every night. alone and hungry. larry took a dump on a police officers car he went to jail and i visited him about a week ago.
he goes to a bed at night with food in his belly and showers daily.
whitch to you sound better?
it may not be a paradise
but its more practical then what he had before.

To quote the late, great Tupac Shakur:

‘’Instead of a war on poverty, they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me’’.

Could the war on drugs be a form of social control?

Every and any blockade of freedom is a form of social control

I like that clip from the wire. Calling it a war makes it a warzone.

Which makes for great entertainment if I may say.

Bring the lawn chairs and beverages, this is going to be fun!

The concern for your fellow man you display here is markedly at odds with how you think an anarchistic utopia would go down.

“We don’t need police because people would take care of each other” vs. “Cool some guys are shooting at each other, get the chips and beer!”

Why can’t we legalize the use of chemicals? Let the druggies OD and die off, that is an example that more will impact the people more than any prison sentence, because THAT shows what the drugs truly will do.

Crown me the king of contradiction if you wish. I just take the George Carlin approach to everything.

It’s a myth that most drug users are addicts and will OD.

Even with the harder drugs like heroin and cocaine, the majority of users are recreational.

There are an estimated 3.7 million cocaine addicts in America. 1/3rd (1.2 million) use them once a month. 600,000 using more than once a week, proportionally a small figure.

With regards to heroin, in America there are 1.2 million heroin users, 1/6th of whom (208,000) are addicts.

George Carlin had strong beliefs in compassion and peace… I never once heard or read about him waving ignorant banners for anarchy or promoting ignorant contradictions?

No silly, its just the way I make my points like he does.

(btw I dont know if he was for anarchy or not, but he sure talked a lot of shit about governments)

If you cant relate the whole lawnchair thing (which I basicially took from carlin) you really gotta read his books, “Tips for Serial Killers” is an interesting section

Disliking governments is not the same as anarchy, and probably why you and so many other “anarchists” so often contradict your own statements. I absolutely abhor all governments, but I abhor anarchy a little bit more because it’d mean I’d probably die. I don’t wanna, and you probably don’t either.

I think it’s funny how a majority of Anarchists I’ve met are intelligent, soft spoken nice-guys with physical disabilities or differences (by nature, a person who is a social outcast tends to have a physical issue or difference that sets them apart) who would almost certainly not survive a national anarchy.

True, not all drug users OD and fall over dead from using too much, but effects of being screwy on hallucinogens or some form of drug can lead to beliefs in super powers and having them do some stupid things such as trying to stop a train by standing on the tracks…

Not denying that drugs won’t mess you up, but what I am saying is that legalisation can minimise the negative effects of these drugs upon users and society.

Good point. Abuse lowers overall and those that abuse more will wind up dead.

I don’t have a shred of sympathy for people who OD on some drug and end up with some painful/undignified death over it. That is a consequence of reckless irresponsible behavior. The list of consequences should not be expanded to include threats, imprisonment, extortion, and black market trading.

What I do have sympathy for, are people who, but for the artificially created consequences of drug use (real or imagined), would have been fine. I don’t care to hear about people fearing to take a friend to a hospital, over concerns about draconian legal consequences. I don’t care stories in which the break into peoples’ houses at night, guns drawn, looking for drugs, and hoping to take advantage of asset forfeiture laws. I don’t care for the taxes collected on productive activity, used to subsidize drug lords. I don’t care for the argument that our safety and well-being is dependent on exporting war to foreigners, of whom we see and hear slightly more than nothing.

Sir, I am more scared of living with government and corporations than living without them, but thats just my opinion. I think I should like sum up everything and put it into a thread because this is going OT. Should I just like write a page about no govt vs govt?

Well 1 kilo of cocaine can get you an average persons yearly salary. As long as the money and the gangs are involved, the drug war wont stop. 9/11 played a huge roll in this because the FBI and law enforcement were keeping the gang actions to a minimum, but most were dispatched to counter terrorism.
