there is a reason few people think like you

Care to explain?

So it’s a bad thing to champion equality now?

Besides, I’m liberal, from the suburbs, and working on becoming highly educated. How do I fit into your liberal mold?

you fit in where ever you want to fit in, i did not mean it in a way that would say “liberals are all lower class and undereducated” but more of the lower class and undereducated are liberals. plus equality is good and all, so i wasn’t bashing that.

Joke post: Conservatives can’t use computers.

That’s no joke, but a verified fact.

I myself dont know what I hate most, the christian war mongering conservative or the spineless corporate liberal.

The later is the most dangerous because even though they seem to be for freedom it may just be the opposite like the corporate take on environmentalism (it doesn’t help the environment, it just makes people content because they think it does, just like when people are more content if they think Obama is on the workers side)

there is a reason few people think like you

Care to elaborate on the reason? If you are correct, then I am part of the few, the proud, the stupid liberal people who contribute an opinion contrary to yours.

Please forgive my lapse into facetiousness, I’m just tired of ad hominem attacks and my retaliation was nothing personal.

The irony is the statement “i’m just tired of ad hominem attacks” is in fact an ad hominem attack.
For even MORE irony, my ad hominem attack on PMR was in response to his ad hominem attack.

Are you accusing mxmm of personally attacking himself to disprove his own points?

No, pmr was making general statements about the group of people that are the subject to this entire thread. Your retaliation was dismissing his point due to the fact that “nobody agrees with him.” My response to that was a sarcastic way of pointing out your ad hominem argument, I was not attacking your character, merely your point.

Im sorry, i missed the point where i dismissed his point. I dislike christian war mongering conservatives as well as spineless corporate liberals myself…

Generally, I judge to be conservatives by their education. Almost always they are less educated and less open to new ideas when compared to liberals.

Liberals on the other hand tend to be very arrogant and assuming. You can read their posts and become angry easily. For conservatives you can tell they are drinking the Kool-Aid of religion and base their views through that.

why is it though that conservatives are seen as old and stupid, i never got that. i would see the liberals, who represent the poor inner city, the areas generally with less education, as the “stupid” grouping.

Look at the groupings of voters and demographics.

Old people are more likely to vote Republican, thus there is the old association with the party.

Then there is the rural south, ‘hicks’ that predominantly vote for the Republicans, hence the stupid grouping.

Liberals do get votes from poor inner cities, and rightfully so, the liberal agenda benefits them. But then you have a group from the poor rural south voting conservative, actively voting against what would help them most, I think this adds to the ‘stupid’ grouping.

It’s quite amazing really, a demographic that has been brainwashed so heavily that it actively votes in ways that harms itself, I don’t know if that happens in any other first world country.

I sit more in the middle so I pick out different extremist statements more, and ignore them and they are equally distributed in both directions, but the rest seem to be more Liberal leaning statements. The Conservatives do seem to discuss with a lot more force, but they seem to be out numbered. Has anyone else noticed this, or noticed it the other way around, or am i just wrong?

Well, that depends on they’re beliefs. If they are Liberal then thats what they believe. How can you judge someone on what their standards are?

Well what does the word liberal mean to you, if it just means to descibe a party still in the right economically and in the top authority wise, then the word liberal just means slightly less republican (democrat).

If the word means one is strong supporter of freedom and equality, then no democrat is a liberal.

There must be one, surely?

Kucinich?

Come on, there must be one?

i am confused by this thread now, it has become more on conservatives and liberals and which is better, let me rephrase the original question. do you think that people who are more likely to favor a government that supports “morality” and no influence in business are outnumbered on the internet than those that do not support a government supported morality legislation and does support a government that is involved in the regulations and daily going ons in the business sector?

i’ve already said that there are more young people and highly educated people on the internet, and these groups tend to be more liberal

there’s only so much you can say about that

Were I to take a guess, I’d say morals. That is in no way cutting, seeing as how Liberals and conservatives have virtually opposite morals on issues that don’t “directly” harm someone else.

I agree. Liberals have less morals than conservatives. Just take a look at the abortion/murder that liberals do and compare it to the compassionate stance of the conservatives.

there are more foolish and unwise young people who think they know everything, this group tends to be more liberal.

I agree, the know-it-all’s who are in college think they are the ‘hot shit’. I could name several here but we all know who these losers are.

Its the liberal who made “sweeping generalizations with no evidence.” I was being satirical. Interesting your remark comes after my statement and not his. Unfair and bias much?

I’m biased because I can’t respond to every post in every thread the moment it comes up? Please wake up, this is getting sad. Also note that whether Conco is a liberal or not is irrelevant, as an individuals views are not indicative of a majority – all of which is a moot point as you are all misunderstanding the observation and falsely attributing stereotypes to a group anyways.
