It’s true that many people aren’t happy that they died, just that they aren’t a threat. But why do people say that it is wrong to feel happy that somebody died – not only that they won’t cause any more harm, but that they are simply no longer living.

And Platinum is right, I don’t mean anything regarding “Heaven” or “Hell”, I should’ve stated that in the first post. Not that they are happy they are moving on – that’s more of a positive feeling towards them, but instead that they are dead, which is more of a negative feeling towards them.

We will all die eventually, and if we are nice to others in death then perhaps others will be nice when we die. It’s long term investment.

Morbid humor is as old as humor itself.

People (That I know IRL) don’t feel happy that another person died because it’s just wrong. It’s morally wrong. It’s like thinking that a murder you recently committed was justified. It just doesn’t belong and it’s not the right way of thinking. There really isn’t another reason other than it’s just wrong. Like killing another human being, you can’t really give me a reason why it’s wrong, it just is.

Actually, you can give a reason why murder is wrong. We are supposed to protect our own race and make sure we survive.

I’m sure there are people who are “happy” with another person’s death as much as there are murderers, but for most people this just sounds and feels wrong.

Hmm, I suppose my morals are different from those of a standard person. Not that it surprises me, with some of the things I believe in :\

Heh, never have been one for conforming.
