Moral and Existential Nihilism and Anarchy FTW

that’s a rather odd combination

fix’d I think.

Nvm read this

1. An extreme form of skepticism that denies all existence.

2. A doctrine holding that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated.

3. Rejection of all distinctions in moral or religious value and a willingness to repudiate all previous theories of morality or religious belief.

4. The belief that destruction of existing political or social institutions is necessary for future improvement.

1:yeah so
2:“nothing can be known or communicated” that’s just laughable,if that were the case there’d be no alphabet
2:you stated the same thing twice
4:i agree

if that were the case there’d be no alphabet

How do you know the “alphabet” you understand is interpreted the same by everyone else?

because you just used it to communicate to me, the same way i’m doing right now. and really your whole satement is pretty irrelevant

because you just used it to communicate to me, the same way i’m doing right now.

How do you know that what I said is the same as what you heard?

It isn’t, because he didn’t hear anything. Because you didn’t say anything. You typed it.

Different languages with different rules for pronunciation of the same alphabet, or actually even dialects, are an example of the same letters being interpreted differently by different people. The perception of the alphabet changes with the way it is used in your native language.

I’ll post my thoughts on this subject later.

well that doesn’t really have any bearing on reality since every language can be translated into any other language.

now you’re just being nonsensical

What makes you think I’m being nonsensical?

What I’m saying makes complete sense – of course, I have no idea if your interpretation of these words is the same as mine.

For all I know, your interpretation could be completely nonsensical.

every language can be translated into any other language.

Not always accurately however.

because all your saying is proven wrong in reality everyday. and you went against your own statment by saying it makes sense, which according to you is far to objective to exist

Is it? Really?

and you went against your own statment by saying it makes sense

It makes sense to me. Though I have no idea what your interpretation of it is, and your interpretation could be utterly nonsensical. I have no idea.

which according to you is far to objective to exist

When did I say that?

lol yeah you’re ridiculous. there’s nothing to discuss because if your hypothetical nonsensical interpretations existed communication would be impossible. keep coming up with moot points and maybe you’ll achieve your dream of being mr smarty pants. you say a lot of things you know are pointless to discuss just for the heck of it

That is, more or less, my point. (Except for the “nothing to discuss” bit.)

How do you know that your interpretation is the same as everyone else’s?

words have concrete definitions. there is no interpretation

words have concrete definitions. there is no interpretation

That is completely untrue. Have you never heard of an a definitional argument?

Flag Post

If you say “wicked” on the east coast of the US it is slang for awesome. If you say it on the west coast it means evil.

Flag Post

there is no interpretation

There is for qualia, unqualified degree, and regional slang.

Man, I’ve seen arguments from ignorance before, but never this blatant.

Pointing out the flaws in your comment is not “putting you down”. And seriously, don’t try and play it down as sarcastic.

So, are you going to actually respond to the argument, or just try and ignore it?
