Hello,

I want to run a third party server. This server will store character information, ratings, and record match reportings.

What do I need to do to map a kongregate id to the third party server representation of that data?

Your question answers itself. You should use the user_id to identify the values for each Kongregate player on your server.

Cool so user_id is secure and unhackable/unspoofable? I don’t have to check against another private key that the Kongregate server would verify for that player?

I don’t see how it would be unhackable at first glance, but of course I’m new.

user_id is static. It shouldn’t change ever. Of course it is spoofable if someone shares their game auth token, but that should be a fairly obvious no-no.

Thank you very much unknownguardian. I see there is a validation that can be done by the server to kongregate via auth_token. That is definitely the way to do it. My next goal is to create a dummy game and see if I can get that to work.
