It's been known since ages that Winter will be nerfed. Switch to other factions, ppl, and enjoy your nerf/buff compensations.

I repeat myself. The Winter nerf was known. You got compensated. What are you complaining about?

It was known to people who visited the forums prob? But for example, I generally don't hang out on forums. This is actually my first time on here, and only because I was cofused about the updates. I've been playing the game since January and there wasn't ever any notif (on mobile at least) about upcoming updates and what they might entail. It's a disappointment in that regard as it feels like a really sudden and confusing change to a bunch of people.
I'm sad and frustrated because Winter was my favorite and I worked hard on upgrading my cards and creating a synergy in my deck only for it to be shot to hell by this. I can play other decks, but it doesn't hold the same charm. Also, the quests, coin gain and brawls are something that should have taken prescedent when it comes to fixes and updates, in my opinion. They've been a cause of frustration for a while. Probably won't be coming back to this game for a bit..

You are right. They don't have a good communication channel. You have to collect your information from social media. That's not the best way. Maybe they fix this with an in-game gimik within the next 20 updates.

I play stormbound for a while. Was diam 1 last season and currently diam5. The update just sends my deck to hell by hard nerfing 3 out of 12 cards.
People are talking about compensation but 20 FS and 150 golds for destroying your main Lvl 4 LGD card is not a compensation.
I must change cards because they are no more worth to play. To re-balance my deck it will cost about 385FS and 2000 golds... Almost impossible...

Queen&Bucks was overpowered. Balancing this combo was correct.

Calling that nothing burger “compensation” as a justification for destroying what little remained of the frozen deck is just adding insult to injury.

If your capacity to enjoy the game is limited to one faction, then you are not yet an advanced player. Not even if you play D1. It is a CCG. They best way to guard against future changes to the meta is to collect cards, even those you don't use.

I see a lot of lecturing by players who have spent heavily on this game about how anyone complaining about should just change factions. For those of us who are not financially well off, having a competitive deck is something we've worked hard towards, and has precluded making other decks better. The cost of boosters in this game where I live is $10 for 12 cards. This is a terrible deal. I would actually buy some if the card quantity wasn't so laughable. To buy enough cards to make another competitive deck at Diamond rank would cost hundreds of dollars. I'm not willing to go broke just to play a game on my phone. Maybe some players feel entitled to have high ranked play be an exclusive zone for those who pay to win.
p.s. The real problem with rush decks isn't Swarm. It's low cost, high health neutrals.

It doesn't. But I assume you know better than the players themselves how they enjoy playing stormbound.

If you post an opinion on a discussion board, other people are allowed to post their opinions in reply. That's how discussion boards work, dipshit.

Just in case this post is directed at me, I have never purchased resources in the game. I have built my deck by grinding for more than two years. And frankly that SHOULD give me advantages against someone who started playing only a few months ago.

Here too. I did not spend a single € in the game because the cards are overpriced. When I started the game years ago I saw a post on reddit ranking Hearthstone, stormbound etc... "price to complete all cards" and it was about 2k€.
Tbh I would I pay for cards if there were cheaper. Instead I just spared FS for 1 year to get a lvl 4 LGD.

The comment was about the game not providing a good avenue for playing multiple factions. If it was aimed at anyone, it'd be at the devs on the off chance they may read the post.
I'm free to play as well. I've been grinding for two years too. I'm currently fortress level 17 at Diamond 1. The cards in my deck are half level 5 and half level 4. I also have a deck for each factiion, using them to beat quests. But the card levels are mostly 3 and 4 with a few 2's and no 5's. Needless to say, my win collapses playing them against fort20/D1 players with card level 5 decks.
I'd be willing to spend money on the game to build another viable deck for high level play if the cost was reasonable. And I guess to link this back around to the original post topic, I'm disappointed the compensation in fusion stones for cards I worked for two years to get isn't sufficient to build a viable deck to play at the level I was before the update.
Maybe I'll grind it out again. Hopefully the devs build a financial model that better allows most players to play multiple decks.
