I like the ambiance of the game, but I find it balanced very poorly. There are many situations that cannot be escaped unscathed, even when fully upgraded: You can easily get trapped or respawn behind multiple rows of full-screen fences later on because you can't stop shooting and end up destroying intermediary fence-posts. And then there's the laser-beams -- they need a visual cue -- the audio cue gets drowned in the noise. The boss had an interesting design, but it needs more variation in attack patterns -- the battle feels really drawn out because its behavior doesn't change for the amount of health it has.
