The controls seem way too floaty, and it's impossible to judge how high you're gonna flap.

That could be down to computer lag as many people are fine with the controls, also the bird jumps the same height each time.. This may also be down to lag if your are finding it excessively difficult. I'm always updating the game so keep coming back, I will see what I can do to improve speed if this is the problem :)
