The purple key is on the wall next to the nature painting. Apparently there's some sort of lamp there too, it's just so tiny you can't see it while standing at the foot of the bed.

It would nice if you could see the lamp on the wall instead of randomly clicking on the wall and all of a sudden it zooms in on a lamp that you had no idea was even there.
