I find it's better after playing it again recently. The story, music, and stealth are all good, and it's fun to creep by monsters in the dark. The story elements are sometimes abandoned though, like on levels 12 and 14. I find using the mouse is infinitely better. One mild distraction is how the character's head is made of sharp angles instead of, say, a natural looking oval.

Thanks a lot for all your feedback. I have updated Deep Dark Dungeon to include alternative controls as suggested by nosajimiki (press 'm' to toggle) and tweaked the physics to reduce slip as suggested by stillman1.

Control is too slippery, but it's a fun concept.
Hi. Thanks a lot for the review. I have updated the controls in Deep Dark Dungeon (including the "slippery" element) in a recent patch. If your opinion has changed then I would appreciate a second review. Thanks again.

I like the idea of this one, but the controls kind of kill it for me. I think it would play a lot better if the controls were up-down-left-right than turn-forward-backward.
Hi. Thanks a lot for the review. I have updated Deep Dark Dungeon to include a new control scheme just as you have suggested. You can enable it by pressing 'M' while playing the game. If your opinion has changed then I would appreciate a second review. Thanks again.

Pretty cool. Definitely an original concept. 4/5 because I feel like its missing something. Incentive or story perhaps?
