What's the point of "armor" stat? every unit has 0...

This could have been a great game, but it seems too incomplete in the way of unit stats and unit variety. In some unit descriptions units are listed as an "Anti-Tank squad" but I have yet to see any tank or armored units. On that note, units that should have an armor rating have 0 listed. In fact, all units have zero armor ratings, even after I have unlocked every unit available through research, including the mech-units (third tier).

After finishing the game I have found that elite soldiers are completely useless (though for the enemy they're hard to kill). The time it takes to make them, you could have made a swarm of lower ranked soldiers by now. Since it's very unreliable to strategically command your troops, the only way you can win is to get a hero ASAP since they are practically godlike with swarms of lower ranked soldier to support it that is able to take down everything in its path. This game needs some serious soldier balancing because the only way to win the battle is to get enough gold to buy the hero and ignoring all of the elite soldiers.
