Culture, Culture, Animal, Animal, Animal, Culture, Animal... Is better than Culture, Animal, Animal, Culture.. etc, though the difference is very small

Since my last post I've broken 10,000 on Deity several times, so I thought I'd give some more tips. 1) at the beginning, advance tech mysticism -> breeding -> cattle -> mysticism 2 -> cattle 2 - mysticism 3 before doing anything else. You'll want to reach 3000 BC with level 3 mysticism and level 3-4 cattle and only one point in everything else. 2) You should have some points saved when you reach 3000, so get Bread and put the rest in veterinary medicine. Advance vet medicine ASAP and keep pop maxed with stonebrick, putting a total of 3 points in polytheism when possible and getting the production techs. No points in fishing, weapons, or any additional farming tech, you don't need em. Try to get 7 points in vet med and 5 in stonebrick.

The game is pissing me off being broken. Why can't I go above a level 2 upgrade some games, but not all games? I can't win if I can't even upgrade the tech tree like I'm supposed to. I'm limited to only upgrading cattle when the game feels like I can it seems like. So, because of that, I can't even play and beat this game. Nice. >_> I doubt anyone knows a solution other than this is a glitched mess but oh well I guess. Really seemed fun.

Got the numbers so high it went over the integer limit, went to negative and said I was dead with a population of -2.12b. Nice!

The game starts getting totally buggy between turn 600 and 800 somewhere... you just reach a point where you get thousands of techpoints out of nowhere and it's absolutely boring after that. please correct that, the leaderbord is useless this way.

"We've made people to sacrifice their cattle to the gods. People ruined: 173,845. It seems the gods have accepted our sacrifices, nothing bad happened." Wonderful contradiction.

I'm no history expert but I'm pretty sure that with the manpower of 130000 men with alien-tech level 9 bronze weapons and lvl 13 walls reaching sky high 1800BC I would have the strongest army in the ancient world... who are these super-humans enslaving my people and taking my land?

Game didn't make it clear that food production->Population growth, or what the effects of + versus - food production are outside that. Would like that added in the tutorial, it was nearly age 3 before I caught that they were connected. I was wondering why my pop. was so low

About fight vs run dilemma - if your enemies target enslave, flee unless low army or cunning, then fight or cheat according to weakness. Worst case flee - you lose part of population, but it doesn't matter if you breed like Sakkra. Worst case fight/cheat - lose pop PLUS lose to enslave, worse than fleeing in fact, though with enough breeding you get enough pop back to offset even enslavement loss. If, however, you face a hit in the meadows, fight or lose pop rate/year, that's why it's advisable to fight when facing enslavement.

Just got deity win, really, 100% threat is not as troublesome as it sounds, as long as you have people proficit at ~25% total population. Amp cattle breeding to more than 100% population capacity and leave it progressing until about 2500BC, then research city planning until you get enough stored production, then get that pyramid and win.

Turn 2, lots of people very different culture arrive... turn em away = war or accept them = -50% culture for 50 turns. (yes i save and got the same thing at the same point... ) either way = lose the game immediately because you don't dare work to rapidly increase population by farming. This game is a total loss because its 100% dependent on not being SCREWED by the random events. And you can count on getting screwed.

Review Part 2: If we have 55k people guarding our village, we should have SOME idea what or enemies are trying to attack us with. If you look further into this, you'll realize I've just told you a new and unique upgrade path to add to the tech tree. Warfare. Stealth to let us scout our enemies and eventually lay traps for them. Tactics to give us boosts to defending our own people. Warfare itself to give us an advantage to attacking our enemies to enslave people and capture land. Enslaving people would naturally come with a -XX% to our Culture growth. With a game like this the possibilities are nearly endless. Think on it. 3/5 stars for end-game bugs/game breaking mathematics.

Review Part 1: Ok, so, once you get up around NULL for a response as to how many culture point you're getting a turn things kinda get weird..Everything is reading "0/0" except for population which reads "0/2.1B (+336M)". Nice try Clarus, but I broke your game AGAIN. I did this to Pre-Civilization: Stone Age too. Get up around 50-100 million Culture Points a turn, then start upgrading Writing. It has a compounding +10% boost to Culture Points. Eventually I was getting 2, then 3 research points a turn. Then 6, next big change? I had 1.1k research points sitting there for me to use. I bumped everything up to 100. Next turn? 31k research points. You need to fix this, AND the hostile encounter events. I found I sometimes lost even when the enemy had low strength. The safest thing to do was run, unless they had low leader intelligence then it was a guarantee to cheat them. We need NUMBERS because from a gamer's perspective, we have no idea whether we should stand and try to fight or not.

there must be a flaw in the code of the wonder cost increase during survival mode, i reached a point where building the wonder costed me negative productivity and therefore i went on and built hundreds of them

The turn number stops increasing after turn 743 for me! Also I have 2.1B population but somehow 8.2B warriors :/
If you keep putting research points into writing (+10% culture) then you end up getting hundreds of thousands of research points each turn.

Meh this is hard. First tried to complete with deity, failed. Completed with easy, and now earliest pyramid with chieftain turn 165.. So quite a long way to go... For deity.: D

My first thought when I first came across this game was something along the lines of, "Oh how quirky and unique, should be interesting but short and relatively easy!" This was not so. This game spat in my face and mocked me, to the point where I was engulfed in the rage and fury of one thousand suns. My pride would not let me scroll down to read the comments and tips of my fellow players until I single-handedly DESTROYED my nemesis that is Pre-Civilization Bronze Age. Several days later I stand before you no longer a boy, but a man. A Civilized Man.

Bug in endless mode: game uses 32 bit signed integer. Max of any number is 2147483647, which is easily reached in endless mode if you have enough food to replenish your losses. Then it warps to negatives.

There is some bug with the percentages here.
"Power 2,7M" *Uses upgrade that increases 50%* -> "Power 2,8M"
Either it is a bug or the upgrade info is wrong. It should be equivalent to an increase of 50% of my power, not my power - Every little thing increased so far.

The most important advice I can give is don't spend all your tech points before you advance to the next age. Even if you stagnate (a bit, don't go too far) early game, the late game techs are so much more potent that you'll still have nothing to worry about.

Ok. First game played here.
It´s good if you play by the objective planned at the begginging.
Don´t waste time i the survival game.

One point an all invests, don't upgrade more in the two first ages, then in the final age invest all u want focusing on bronze working, and then save up for pyramid or continue investing

The key to a swift victory: ignore culture and production. Focus on animal breeding. Passive income from population growth is exponential, while culture and production focus is only an incremental gain. High population growth also makes warfare losses almost irrelevant, so you can keep threat at ~20-30% to maximize food production.

Well, if you played so much that a building upgrade costs a negative number, click on it. Congratulations! You got yourself a ticket to awesomeness (you'll know why when you do it).
