Description

Je voudrais que vous sachiez tous que je suis perdu. Une idée apparemment banale que je vis par procuration. Un observateur extérieur de la société, l’incarnation de la solitude. Solitaire dans mon esprit, je dois persévérer et chercher ma future utopie. Je deviendrai un cadeau pour les dieux, un vaisseau transportant les âmes de tous les sacrifiés. Je deviendrai le martyr et transcenderai la solitude.

Please don't reveal spoilers. You defeat the purpose of a puzzle game for writing in the comments how to complete it. The purpose of the game being difficult is to show how in todays society a lot of games are so easily thought out and give you the solution. I would like to think that there is some intelligence and persistence within people and to know it is alright to fail. You ruin the discovery for everyone if you give solutions and defeat the purpose of the game serving its purpose.

Done.

Nice game and now to the constructive critique.
First of all when you use the screwdriver on the light switch it says you used it on the fan switch.
I would give one more tip to the player where to put the horseshoes because its good to make a game a bit harder but the only thing i could do was random clicking to find the right spot "using" the horseshoe on something else then the right number didnt work.
Using the Key on the doorknob doesnt work thats a bit strange.
Last point: i cant read the ending text properly because of the light i had to walk in a edge of the room to read it.

Well all those things are just little problems and not worth to drop the rating so its still 5 stars (and just so you know: i dont like point and click games xD)

keep it up and dont forget about your games these days are to easy thought ;D

Yeah, the game was made in under a week. The game was designed to give the player no indication or direction and was a reflection of how I am writing my thesis on retro and indie based game puzzles. Everything you pointed out was just a limitation of time, but some of them were purposely done to make the player frustrated. There was purposely no direction because I wanted the player to think for themselves using the tools they have been supplied, most games these days spoonfed the player so I wanted to create and over exacerbated version of this feeling. I don't like point and click games either, I just wanted to create something quickly in order to get an idea in my head of how discovery is promoted in game development.

SPOILER: 1. under mattress, 2. on ceiling fan (must be turned off to get), 3. inside tv (turn on with remote then unscrew screen), 4. inside safe behind star picture (use blacklight on picture to get it down (turn off lights to use blacklight by unscrewing the lightswitch cover and solving the maze) then match the wheel puzzle to the arrow picture on the wall to open)
