Description
I’ve uploaded the new version. Spawn rates are a bit higher in general, there are more gravity flips and more power-ups, and of course, the big addition of being able to select casual or hectic mode.

OMG! So amazing! Nice job
Oh, well thank you very much, I'm glad you like it. Just know that you cannot fool me with flattery giraffe man, I know who you are, and I have my eye on you...

one problem is that the gravity changes right when the bomb comes out so it ruins the combo right when the gravity changes
I certainly see your point, but it's just one of the game's mechanics. I can't really think of any way to fix that. I will eventually be making a second version of this, probably called Dropper Effect^2. That one will sort of fix this by having the balls arc in the new direction instead of turning sharply, giving you a chance to click it. Obviously, it will have many other features, but you will see those when it comes out.

mouse down, not mouse up for pickup bombs.
I don't think that's really necessary, I don't find it hard at all to get proper clicks to register, however, in the next update I may consider changing this. Thank you for your response. Edit: I am uploading a new version with this very soon. I definitely agree it was needed with the new hectic mode.

I like the bomb sprites and the mechanical background, but the bombs don't quite register my clicks unless I hit the red dot. I like the idea of adding power ups though.
Ah, thank you for telling me that. Although I'm sure I don't experience the same, I think I might be able to fix it for you and anyone else who may be experiencing it as well.

Nice basic game. A little hard to get used to, and not much replay value, but fun and interesting; I like the idea.
Thanks for commenting. I will be uploading a new version that will fix all the bugs I know of as well as adding two gamemodes, casual and hectic; which I think will add more replay value. If you could elaborate on the 'hard to get used to' part, that would be appreciated as well (i.e. what about it could be improved to make it easier to get used to).
