Could have be an okay game, but the control are just about as bad as they can be

The sound the jump makes it awful, I'm assuming that's due to some kind of issue with the jump mechanism? Since it kinda sounds like the sound might be on rapid-repeat. Also the controls are weird, sometimes they work sometimes they don't.
