I would increase the rate that the meteors come as the game goes on, to increase difficulty. If you can't get the shooting right, why not just have the game be about dodging?

Just because it's new doesn't make it "Beta".
There's no need to hide any possible problems behind technical terms; bugs can be fixed, suggestions can be implemented, the game gets developed.
If you're not willing to improve it there's no point calling it Beta, because it's not even going to get developed past that stage.

like they say, space is infinite. I also noticed that after playing this, everything seems to stretch vertically. not a bad game, but there needs to be a way to win and a way to lose.
