My main problem with this game how expensive everything is in proportion with how much you get every time you explore. Since you can only explore three or four places at a time for most of the levels, you're making around 450 gp per, but anything that might allow you to level up or move on to new quests are 10,000 coins, 20,000 coins, and so on and so forth. It's not practical. Even the runes are too expensive to be practical. My suggestion: if you are going to reward in the 100's make the prices of the buildings and runes at the very least a little more proportionate, so that you can get them within a few days if need be, rather than a month. Because making it up to 20,000 coins when you've just spent 10,000 on the last building takes way too long. I like the variations on the puzzles, but it also needs to be a little cheaper to change the setting. Maybe 2 or 3 cards, rather than 9, when you only get 10 to begin with.

Developers, here are a couple of ideas that might address the slow speed of the energy recharge. 1. If you could convert cash into blue diamonds this would you allow you purchase more energy restoring items; 2. it would be nice also if you could sell excess items to the store in exchange for coins or diamonds. again, this would allow you to restore energy faster and would make a gameplay session much more lengthy and therefore enjoyable.

The second area, Secrets of Paris, costs way too much - cash is at an extreme premium in this game, and having to unlock several very expensive areas in a row, for cash, which are used for one quest (in the unlocking period, anyway) then moved on from, is ridiculous.

I don't agree with those all opinions about the energy bar, I would spend too much time on this game if it wasn't there... it would be bad for my life, work and my eyes. This way I can play a little every day and I have enough fun.

Superb graphics, excellent performance, unique gameplay, and really challenging special features make Rooms of Memory an outstanding highlight in the MMO market.

Ok i got it. It's not enough to invite a friend, via the invite friend button, you also have to add them in the kongregate friend list outside the game - once I added you on the kongregate friend list, both of you appeared. Thanks for the help :)

here's an idea, to offset the "energy wait," how about enable the player with the ability to sell some of the excess earned items back to the store in exchange for gold or diamonds. this would allow you to get the items you need to buy keys and unlock rooms or purchase items to build up your energy quicker.....

Did you hyper-critical guys ever consider what, in this game, friends are meant for? There is one perfect formula that basically leads to (virtual) wealth and glory, and that one does *not* include real money! (Sorry, 101XPgames, but you implemented that feature. Thanks a lot by the way! It gives me the most fun, I can get from this game.)

Too bad that what could have been a good game is made too exasperating too stick with... I wouldn't mind a minute or two for "energy", but making the time so ridiculously long in an attempt to force folks to spend $$$'s was a really, really bad decision. Some people are paying for online time by minutes already! Fortunately I'm not, but I rate this as a -5 because of the $$$'s grab.

Sad that there's so many features of the game that isn't implemented via Kongregate... If you play it via facebook instead, you get access to the dragon labyrinth, tournaments and right now also the halloween thingy too.

The energy needs to replenish twice as fast at least if you are to keep the attention of gamers. It really is far to slow to be enjoyable any more!

I don't understand the people who are talking about having to pay for this game. It's a free game. You don't have to pay for anything. Admittedly, the energy can get a little annoying, but it's just a matter of having the patience to wait for it to recharge. I'm really enjoying this game, and I look forward to seeing what's going to happen when the portal gets working. ^_^

When i'm just given a shadow of something but you can only see one corner of it sticking out how on EARTH am I supposed to find it without using a clue. But then I suppose thats the point. Then we have to spend money to buy more. The game is not worth spending any money on it unfortunately

If you chose to play a map again, all the items you collected get small and you can't collect them. It's a bug that should be corrected in my opinion.

Ok, I know you guys want to make money on this game, and that is just fine... But do it like the other games: bonuses, extra's and shortcuts cost money, not merely playing for longer than 15 minutes at a time

great graphics, great game, just sad that you have to wait sooooooo long to play for just a few minutes because of the energy bar. I was willing to buy a few extra creds at the beginning, but more than 40 bucks is a little much.

Have to agree with all the comments regarding energy. I only get to play for a half hour at a time (if at all). If each search were only 10 points, that would be so much nicer. :)

the energy side of this is sooooo bad. i understand the concept of needing energy to explore, but really.... zanduken says it the best, it would cost big money to continue to play this game or the time wait to continue is a real turn off

Are you serious? Its hard enough to get enough energy, to level up, to get the stuff you need, but to raise the energy you need to play a level whenever you level a location is the golden crown of bad ideas in game that could realy be wonderfull

I'm enjoying this game and I do not think that energy is the biggest problem. Lots of games use energy and do fine. The bigger issues are:
1) The amount of experience required to level needs to be lowered. At lvl 19 now and it has been taking 2 + days of energy use without any wasted to get to next level.
2)Gold costs to unlock areas are wayyyy to high compared to return on energy used. There is a need to raise the amount given for completing normal searches. I should not have to wait three+ levels to be able to get enough to unlock an area, I should be able to earn close to the amount required as I reach the unlock level by doing tasks.
As it stands, although this game has been great so far, it looks like the dev is trying to force people to pay if they want to progress at more than a snails pace. In reality, if things (ie exp and gold return for energy used) were more to scale with leveling requirements this would have the potential to generate much more revenue that it does now.

Such a pity I'll have to abandon the game because of the long wait! It is so full of potential, and could keep one playing for hours. There's practically no limit in ideas that could be implemented in this game... But energy? Bah...
