Chapter 5-6: Due to extreme chain smoking, excessively repetitive jumping, and because that bastard Jack wouldn't hold a door for a lady, Kathryn died of asthma.

Dude, when she said she wanted to clean up the back yard and plant some stuff, she didn't mean herself! At least her yard is a little greener now... lol.

It was a really good game with very deep meaning. The ending made perfect sense, and it tied in very well with the other game. 5/5.

How to beat the Extra Hard Upstairs Puzzle:
(Note: Figuring it out yourself is very rewarding)
Blow a smoke ring. Now run down the hallway and you'll drag the smoke ring with your body.
And that's it!

Is "no jump" level can be completed?
Fall to 2-nd platform, used smoke detector here.
Top "smoke ring" detector are unreacheable.
No more ideas.

At first I thought that "In the Company of Myself" was the best game on the site. Now it has a serious challenger, cum complimenting element. Again, excellent musical accompaniment to the games' theme and mood. All kinds of awesome. 5/5

If you make elaborated speech bubbles on every game-mechanic, like arrow-keys to walk etc., it would have been nice to do it with double-jump too. I mean it is pretty obvious you can walk with the arrow-keys and you can pause if you need; but not every game has double-jump. I was a bit confused first, waiting for Kathryn to tell me what to do. If you make the tutorial hold the gamer's hand, don't just suddenly drop it, please. (yeah, I know it's in the instructions, but still)

If you don't understand the ending then play company of myself, nothing else to say, exelent gameplay storyline and everything that comes to my mind 5/5

Just beat the game. Didn't understand the meaning in the end... Hope that guy enjoys his tv? Other than that, the puzzles were great :). In my opinion, smoking made Kathryn's character mix more into the story, with the stress and drama in all. I'd give it a 3.5/5, but on kong i'll give it 4/5 :).

prequel to "Company of myself", honestly there is no better way to advertise this game.
5/5! and i haven't even started playing yet ;)

The story is very sad...but also a bit ironic from the perspective of Jack. He took drugs so he would forget his problems but in the end it created more problems. It even causes him to sometimes forget he lost Kathryn, a person he loved and cared for quite a bit (not to mention it ultimately brought about her demise, although that was obviously indirect and an accident). It's even worse when you add the premise of "The Company of Myself" to it. Everyday he remembers and forgets everything that had happened and then goes through it all over again the next day. Quite a tragic story, yet still beautiful and heart touching. Thank you for making this game and writing this great, thought provoking tragedy.

Oral fixation is what I see here, nothing dirty, it's just an unresolved childhood conflict. I recommended The Company of Myself to my Psychology colleagues, hope to recommend this one after I try it

I'm not sure about this. The COmpany of Myself was fantastic, and this doesn't add anything to that. If anything, it lessens the impact of it.
The game is fine and all, but I think it would be better as a standalone game.

Something...Darker = Red and black smoke
BigPimpin = Purple smoke
BackToTheBasics = Normal smoke
There're your cheats. There's some level codes, too, but I'm not sharing, you gotta play through to enjoy it!

I suck at double jumping. I tried about 30 times and maybe someone else has patience for this type of game. It's a shame because I think judging by some of the comments it has some depth. I just have no coordination!
