Under rating threshold (show) One thing I love about 2DArray is the way everything flows in his games, they don't tell a story to you, you make the story, and the tutorial is fitted into the story, rather than just sticking a wee screen at the start telling you everything, you feel like you develop with the character, and it makes the games all the more gripping, I love this and TCOM so much, if you read this 2D, you are my favourite flash game developer!

Under rating threshold (show) At the end of the game, where it talks about his day, thats his current state of mind after the accident with Katheryn. He can't remember anything for the day, which matches up what his psychologist said in the first game. This story was sad, but it was really good. I wish I knew just what happened with Kathryn :(

Under rating threshold (show) She needs to have a serious talk with the architect who designed her house. Giant pits don't exactly give a warm welcome to visitors. Not to mention how hard it's going to sell the house in the future.

Under rating threshold (show) Took me time to realize that everything in this game is a metaphor. E.G., the lasers represent Kat's "internal threats" (life problems, stress) and she fixes them with smoking. It's very rare to find games of this kind. Kudos to 2DArray for making these great games.

Under rating threshold (show) beautiful story... very deep and philosophical... although the sarcasm towards literary analysis provides nice comic relief (ie metaphorical lasers, belief vs coping defense mechanism) lols.... i love the story line... Just for the story and music alone (the biggest elements) i woudl give this a 5/5... but the puzzles are very nice.. involves a little bit of timing (smoke rings) but anyone can pick that up relatively easiliy... the puzzlse themselves are rather unique as well, and the solutions are not overly complicated... Favorite problem is definately the ExtremelyHardUpstairsProblem of DOOM.. <3 overall 5/5, already favorited. cant wait for the next installment

Under rating threshold (show) If you take 'The Company of Myself' and compare it to this game, the level where jack 'kills' Kathryn, and the last level of this game, is the biggest part in my opinion. In TCOM, the ending credits basically explain that he went insane after he accidentally killed Kathryn and he put her in a green box. In this game, she talks about her garden(backyard) where she's found in TCOM. So, yeah. It all kind of falls together. Jack was a drug abuser trying to get away from his normal life, but it just made it worse when he met Kathryn.

Under rating threshold (show) When Jack talks about the short stubby refrigerator he is alluding to the green "boxes" or doors in Company of Myself. It's green because it's "Eco-friendly too." This is the box that Kathyrn is buried in (as revealed in CoM). There are so many subtle connections. Great game - not because of the puzzles (which are fun and challenging) but because of the message. This games actually has something to say and it says it. Much appreciation

Under rating threshold (show) I think I can make a good case for the type of "medication" jack uses. Amphetamines. His "levelheadedness" (emotional equilibrium/numbness), the way his words appear + a comment about him being "twitchy" (higher doses/addiction leads to Parkinsons-like twitches), It causes sleep deprivation, which leads to memory loss. And it's often the "self-medication" of choice among Schizophrenics (And with that I'm referencing his memory loss/guilt surrounding the "murder" of Kathryn). (Partial) Memory loss is a way for the mind to cope with extreme forms of guilt, basically "creating" an alter ego that is responsible rather than the self. Personal theories aside, this game has been an awesome experience for me. 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) Say what you will about "platfomers with meaning," but I always appreciate one that can deliver it's message in a way that comes across genuine. This is certainly one of those games, and I can relate in a lot of respects to Kathryn's issues, as well as the psychologist's insights. I appreciated this games message a great deal, and the game it was framed around wasn't too shabby, either, however difficult it may have been in some levels. Overall, an enjoyable, and personal, experience.

Under rating threshold (show) This is why I love flash games...every once in a while, you hit one of these, a game that's actually very fun, but also tells a story that's worth going through, and in bonus many deep psychological and philosophical ideas that can certainly be of some use to most of us. I know it's pretty old, but still, this game is really brillant :)

Under rating threshold (show) After a few tries at the EHUP to no avail, I decided that the pont of the puzzle was that it was impossible, and you just need to let some things go.
