*Spoilers Ahead* I came here after playing TCOM moments before. I assumed during TCOM that Jack had accidentally killed Kathryn. As I started playing Fixation, I was dreading the end because I figured that Kathryn was going to die. After chapter 4 ended, I wondered if Thomas was going to be revealed as the killer, and that Jack either assumed he was the killer, or that he regretted leaving alone Kathryn at the end. His decision to part ways could be interpreted as him feeling responsible for her death by not being there. Having finished the game though, I think it's more likely that Jack killed Kathryn, then forgot due to his drug-induced amnesia. Either way, it's quite the tragic ending for Kathryn to have reached "the meadow" through her own actions (instead of artificially like Jack), only to disappear forever. Overall, I'm very impressed by both Fixation and TCOM. I loved the metaphors and symbols woven through the gameplay, and the story was very well done.

I wish philosophy games were less about game-play challenges. I lost interest in the story once the timing and aiming aspects of level 2-1 were introduced.

Too much dialogue makes the game impossible to finish... so bored and frustrated having to hit s for three minutes on every level just to see it.

How do I enter the code to start back where I left off? I'm afraid to scroll through the comments for an answer for fear of spoilers.

5 Years after playing this game, and I still love it. It is one of the best puzzle games I have ever played. A magnificent prequel to my favorite game on here. And even though I know the game, I still get that emotional response I got when I first played this game, not knowing it was the prequel till the very last level, when it all clicked. Thank you for this game. It is indeed like a fine wine. It has gotten better with age, and how the lines strike new emotions compared to when I was 13. Thank you.

When Katherine was angry with Penelope, like at the beginning of the game, her face kind of is shaped a like a skull. Don't know if that was intentional, or just a weird coincidence.

In almost 10 years of Kongregate, this was one of rare times where I read every single word of dialogue. Deep, emotional, touching. After what I passed on the last few weeks, it looked like it was made for me, really made a lot of sense to what I'm living. I remember that I disliked Company of Myself for some reason, but this one... is art. Definitely a form of art. Huge props to the artist and the music composer. The whole environment is great, gives true feels... and feelings.

I finally finished getting past the 7th stage. The fact that the smoke is aimed by the mouse should really be put into the description of the mechanic.

"This game is dialogue-heavy, so be prepared for that." Thanks for the warning, guys ! Anyway i gave up at half game (first room after meeting the doctor) Cause it takes so much place that i can't immerse nor in the (good) platformer game, requiring full dexterity and concentration, nor the story. English is not my first langage so it requiers too much of my concentration to enjoy the (good) story. A book or a game ? You have to choose ;-) I'll go reading finally. Awesome work, anyway.

must have played the 6th room about 20 times now. can never get to the door before it closes. i hate these timed games where every keystroke has to be perfect.

The metaphorical lasers can't hurt you anymore in The Meadow, another nice touch! This game is perfected on so many levels, thank you.

I haven't played the sequel/original but I can say that this game with the psychologist following you around and conversing with you is deep...

More than five years after first playing this game, I realized - the obstacles, puzzles and challenges represent the way depression and other mental illnesses make simple tasks insanely difficult and reduce one's perceptions to caricatures of reality. The clue is right there in Chapter 1 where she's trying to do household chores, but the player sees only obstacles and pitfalls...

eppie spacely on the right of chapter 2-1 you see a meter with two blue lines and one yellow you need to hold your mouse until you are in the yellow area and then release it
