This game is amazing, i didn't think i would like it due to the different style from the Company of Myself but i loved it both games are fantastic, loving the entire story.

Good couple of games (this one and Company of Myself). I didn't find myself moved to tears, but these games left an impression on me that won't be going away soon. Well written. I'm no AAA gamer, but it'd be nice to see this story find its way onto consoles with some updated graphics. The consumer won't even know what hit 'em.

Am I the only one who noticed this? The number on the door in 69...I'm being mature. I swear. I'm just noticing things. This is a good game.

I noticed something at the meadows, all except the last one (where only Jack is) has a green almost-stone-like base...like a coffin. The last part doesn't have and could mean Jack had forgotten about it all

When Jack told her the way back home was right, I felt a lump grow in my throat. Try as I may, it swelled until I was left with a moment as utterly disheartening and devastating as a certain someone telling Harry Potter to "look at me..." before dissolving into nothingness. I've never before seen such deep, touching rendition of two sides of a story. How utterly depressing.

Man. What an amazing example of independent game design. Original mechanics, rich metaphorical story, likable characters... This game has it all. Couldn't stop until the very end.

I could not figure out how to beat 3-5 and 5-1 without looking at the walkthrough. http://jayisgames.com/archives/2012/03/fixation.php#walkthrough

This scares me. My name is Kathryn and my crush's name is Jack. I only do drugs on a occasion, though. I hope this game is not some foreshadow.

Maybe I'm stupid but I can't get past the second screen of the game? She doesn't jump high enough to clear the ledge on the right? What am I missing?

Hey creator! This is frost the fox, replacing Joshua, He wanted me to tell you this wasn't working for him! Gotta go! please fix this!

"Do you have any special abilities?" "Oh not much I can double jump" I guess she wanted to keep the fact that she has the lung capacity of a whale on the DL... lol

It took me a while, but I realised that the levels on Chapter 5... *spoilers* :P
But when you get there you'll know it.

Gotta be honest here, the smoke ring shit irritates me. There isn't enough time to get to the temporarily held open doors.

The last level in which you play as Kathryn is the same as the one in 'The Company Of Myself'
In the other game, the shrink says that he doesn't remember any of his previous visits, and in this game, he didn't remember anything about Kathryn. The way he connects the two games in so many ways is amazing.
2dArray is a genius.

Hey, Thomas, could you be a dear and just stand right here in this doorway that's only open for a quarter of a second while I go over there and blow a smoke ring quick?

An interwoven story enmeshed with metaphoric symbols used in a progressive and delicate way that represents discovery and coping mechanisms of problematic people. Despite any initial impressions of the introduction or developing plot, the game carefully lays down psychology and philosophical questions to a variety of debatable topics. It also setups a saddening revelation to how the sequel came about. Bravo good sir.

Yep, that... that was sad... 5/5. I do feel good that it reminded me I've officially been smoke-free for 6 months now.

I really like The Company of Myself, but Fixation cannot be compared to it. Both music and storyline are much worse. TCoM was kind of intriguing, mysterious. Fixation is not. Moreover, the dialogs are silly in general, even irritating sometimes. The only advantage of Fixation is that the levels are a bit harder, but hey - it doesn't pretend to be just another logic and dexterity based game, right?

The timing on lvl 28 is way too exacting...over 100 attempts so far and the door to the second section always closes just as I hit the ground.
