This game received the easy badge for flavour with the Planeswalker Quest. Illusions of Grandeur is an old blue card from Magic the Gathering that fits with the Jace planeswalker spirit.
Anyway, I'm glad to play this game again.

Guys, the game accidentally got taken down for some unknown reason and Kongregate just put the game back up. No need to freak out.

It's hard to find professional games that can weave a story into the gameplay very well. This is done so well here that I'm almost astonished. Great control and an outstanding story. My only complaints are that it's short, and it could be a little more difficult. Still easily a 5/5 game. Amazing.

[[SPOILER]] Everyone sees this differently, mine view is the following. For ease of typing I will call the man John. Each level is a different time the psych visits John with obstacles being the psyche's attempts to bring John back around to sanity. Though he tries his hardest to stop John, John always finds himself back at the green box which represents the incident of the murder. Bringing him further and further away from reality, the rise in difficulty brings a perfect image to this with the many gaps to cross and heights to climb. However these gaps become smaller and easier to traverse after he remembers his time with his wife and how much he loved her. Showing that there was indeed progress in his situation, and right at the end of the game when you cross that final gap...the psych leaves.
A simply amazing game, by far the best on Kongregate

Hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking. Could not have asked for a more touching game, I have come back and played it start to finish multiple times over many months. Still heart wrenching, every time. Thank You.

This game really got to me. The storyline, the setting, the levels... I nearly cried at the end and had shivers while reading what the shrink said.
The first flash game to have ever touched my heart. Truly a masterpiece. 10/5

I played this game and it was really a heartbreaking story, that I felt crying. This game should get the awards. Although some levels were hard, but still this is a very good game which absorbs the story into you. Thanks to that awesome dev who created this game!

A sad implication of this story is that he saw, at one point, that murdering Kathryn was something he had to do to achieve a goal... :'(

so in Fixation, Kathryn seeks outside help to her problem, while Jack attempts to solves his own problem in his own head?

One of the top rated comments by Kanacali says "it's unsure of how she died" but the psychologist stated she was murdered by him. This game needs a follow up, we must learn more about what happened!

The hermit is an every day guy who can take on tough challenges that usually requires multiple people all by himself. One day he meets a girl, who makes those challenges easier than ever. They fell in love, and took on countless challenges together. One day, during one of those challenges, he accidentally kills her in the process of completing it. He doesn't realize it was his fault. He is torn apart, but is able to go back to how he used to live. He buries her in a green box, it being the only thing he can fit her in other than a coffin. He places two flowers on her burial mound and resumes his life. After discovering her dead in his backyard, he is brought to a hospital where he sits in a solitary confinement room; alone, once again. A shrink comes to visit him on occasion and he continues to tell his tale of solitude and remorse each time he sees him.
This story is very moving, bringing a tear to my eye each time I play it. Wonderful job, to all who made it. 5/5

if you read the shrink's dignostic it says "he doesn't recall that he murdered her" sot he did in fact murder her. this is pretty sad becuase the way he describes her she meant everything to him.
also at the end he says "the shrink leaves and suddenly i dont have a person to tell my story to anymore." this could mean that he didnt feel he finished his story which would go with the possibility that he never remembers the shrink visiting. OR it could mean that he realizes the shrink isnt coming back again, fitting in line with the option that he remembers he shrink, but might feel he has nothing else to talk about and so he just repeats the story every visit

the life story of this hermit has a really massive impact to my emotion. i was really into the game and definitely touched upon reading the messages level by level while seeking for the truth and listening to that sad background music that emptied the atmosphere. whats even worse was when i read the truth upon finishing the last level that he lost his loved one, and trying to move on by dropping his past experiences. though my heart was completely shattered, I really appreciate the game.

This game was not only touching in itself, but also because I can relate to the "loner" aspect of the game. Poor guy.

The story is very thought-provoking and sad. It's very moving and touching. This game is not a game. It is a work of art. The story of a hermit can never be more saddening. I completely agree that there should be a museum dedicated to this game.

I just got done with Fixation. I had to replay this masterpiece as well. Some things are still a mystery, but maybe that's the best part. Fixation had a lot of philosophical ideas in it... I think the point of these two games are to make us thin and reflect.. The Answers aren't always easy to see or clean cut.

The level where the girl falls into the pit, I considered just quitting then so they could keep living together happily

Games like this reminds me that these games aren't just thrown under the rug due to new shooters or fast action games + if you agree for all you gamers that think this is sad yet beautiful :)

Can anyone PLEASE help me with the level that says, "What? Don't go yet. I have more to say. I really do"? I am stuck on this level and I would appreciate the help.
