The first time I loaded this game I got stuck on the first level, where the level just kept restarting whenever I tried to go through the door. I tried the same thing about five times over before I noticed the small "help me" in the corner of the screen.
I jumped when I saw it, and then hesitantly clicked on it after a few moments, fully expecting the story to continue on from there.
I quickly realized that this was not the case, I had simply made my way to the walkthrough, where I discovered that the game had simply stuck.
The game being stuck was not such an amazing thing, it happens from time to time with most games. But where it had stuck for this game, I had already played the beginning to a completely different story than had been created- where this character was trapped, repeating the same actions over and over to try to befriend something that simply could not be his friend, no matter how many times he tried.

A very amazing, yet sad story. Despite my frustrations with completing the last 2 levels, my patience paid off as it came to the ending. I feel really bad for Jack.

such a sad yet a meaningful story kindof relates to depression where u dont know what do do with ur life
...but the game was intriguing the gameplay though one of the best puzzle games in kong yet...

This game should have an impossible badge just for lv 20. I know what to do, it just doesn't work. Also, my lil dude-man will randomly explode all his shadow dude-men and DIE when I press space wtf

First playing the game I was thinking, "Damn what a fun game..." but as I went on the music and story was making me sadder and sadder. The title itself had me teary but the intro, level where you could only win by killing Kathryn, and the outro made me cry. As I said before in a comment its not a complex game its the message that's complex. You have to go on thinking about the intricacies of this before you can critique this. I for one feel like I understand because I've lost a loved one in a similar scenario... Again this is a beautiful game that deserves recognition by all... Thank you for making this amazing game. If you increase the pages size, you'll notice the games not actually pixel art, its normal art resized that gives this impression because of the resolution loss.

this got me right in the feels. Its not the most complex GAME but the message is complex... Its really had me thinking about life and the one I lost. I have a similar story to this. So thank you for making this game... I appreciate the effort :'I

Ya me he pasado el juego. Ha sido bastante bonito. Bonito en las mecánicas, el apartado artÃstico y sonoro, pero aviso de que es triste.

Not sure if I discovered a glitch or mistakenly finished a level? On level 15 I accidentally switched the lever too soon. Rather than reset, I just had both characters jump down the hole. And suddenly I was on level 16...

Loved the music. Nice gameplay mechanic and i enjoyed the story, too short however. Also unlike the person in the top comments i didn't fill the gap up with lots of shadows, but rather just jumped across over a load of shadows who were also jumping across :D, it's a lots quicker that way.
