think that the last level could be kind of a metaphor for his live, I mean you basically have to create thousands of shadows and the all have to fall into the gap so the "real" person can succeed. Its like drop your past so you can go on.

Also: the way I solved Level 20 was incredibly depressing. I wonder if you really are supposed to get through the level by hurling yourself into that pit a dozen times. Because if not, I guess I did it wrong. Suicidally wrong.

i wanted to make a comment but i belive i no longer can, for i am a loner, never killed anyone but im alone...intressting it took me something as trivial as a videogame to realise that...

This game is a magnum opus and the story itself cannot be better. I give this game a 6/5 for the story and the emotion it gives!!! The story was also subtly entwined with the game which gives it a different originality.

My film group is currently working on a short film based on this game, we're hoping to do a good job and we should have it out in hopefully two weeks or less =). Legendary game.

Very nice story indeed and i love how it reads like a good book . BUT the gameplay is no match for chronotron . sorry it's true.

I've played hundreds of games on Kongregate, but no other game has even come close to how great this game is. The Storyline was so sad and meaningful that I almost cried at the end.

this has to be the saddest story i have found in a flash game. Speaking the truth, the game is simple to play but somehow it's not boring. Maybe it's because of the story behind the game. It would fit a small book, or a short animation. Recommended game

This is yet an amazing game. If you people are looking for similar games, one very similar game is "The Illusionist's Dream" (You'll have to google), it's really similar.. and there's "Coma" on Kongregate. This with those 2 games, make an amazing story. Awesome gameplay... Awesome music.

I had already beat this game, I came back to add as favorite only. But once I heard the music I couldn't help but play it again.

It's strange that you care about story in a Puzzle game. This game does that great.
But, it's smacking you over the head with the hammer of melancholy, it's so over-the-top and artsy that I was next to crying after I finished it.

If you don't get the point of the story, the entire storyline is the visit from the Psychologist. The "challenges" are pictures and objects shown to him by the Psychologist which he has to explain what it feels like and means. He's explaining to the Psychologist that it's like how his life used to be except that he's doing it all by himself instead of with Kathryn. He then goes on to explain about what happened with Kathryn, but it's unsure of how she died, probably with a challenge they did together. The green box at the end of every challenge signifies the box that he had to find to put her into. The flowers that you spawn at/checkpoint are the 2 flowers he put next to her grave. Personally, I think she died a normal death, and he just put her in the box and buried her because he couldn't handle her death. But that's just me.

just remember, kongregate didn't get 45,000 + members by adding "chick fliks" to the end of every game, just for your next game
