well i see its got more harder because the upgrades are not anymore so usefull but spam is crap to maybe more % dmg upgrade per upgrade lvl or rasing multiply

Your upgrading system is still messed up. You can't make the first upgrade the same increase in power as the last upgrade and charge more money for the last one. This just promotes filling up every square with a level 1 tower.

Oh yeah the armour I changed too. It now removes a % of damage, for instance with grunts have 3 so it calculates the tower damage then removes 30%.
I've got the code in to make monsters weak and strong against certain towers which will even that out, but at the moment they're all weak against everything and strong against nothing.

And I desperately need to do a sound manager that'll limit how many sounds play at the same time heh. I think that'll help the performance too.

It's coming along really well. There's a few more things some people wanted to see added to it and after that it'll be done with the beta label:
- buy more lives
- select tower targetting mode
- veteran system for towers giving bonuses on damage / range
- add firing rate info to option panels
- cancel update
- staggered round bonuses, $50 for 0 monsters escaped, $30 for < 5, $15 for < 10
- actual points system + points for left over gold
- a user-controlled hero you can attack stuff with

grumzar - yeah I introduced that bug yesterday heh. It's one of the many things I took care of today. Other new stuff include range circles showing when you place towers, next level information on tower panels, and a tonne of stuff that should make it run better.

Good job so far on the fixes..it is running better than it was. I would still like to see more of a difference with that speed button though. Idealy...normal, fast and insane speed....I have amended my score to 3/5.....change that speed button and I will definately score this a 5. Great work really!!

Ok I've done some more optimisation, the maps are now 1 single image instead of being constructed with 300 images from the tileset. That will hopefully help a little. :)

Ok I think the tower panels issue has been resolved. This issue has been the cause of other problems too - towers not being selectable and thus upgradable etc.

Okay, a few things. 2nd episode I cant upgrade any of the towers, the whole upgrade window doesnt appear, meaning i cant sell either. Also, when I lose all lives, all my towers disappear and I can only buy towers from what little money i have left. Is this intended? And fast setting doesnt really change... even on low quality it lags like a ******** ***** ** * *!

SHAME SHAME SHAME that it is so painfully slow....WHY??? Who in their right mind would sit through this game at this speed...Why would you bother to put in a speed button??? For the excersize of it?? It does NOTHING. Fix the speed and I will amend my score...right now because of the slowness....1/5.

Chapter 1 played okay. Ch 2 would not let me upgrade, and by round 9 was extremely slow, even on the 'fast' setting. Love the upgrade options.

The elemental towers either need to be pure buffs or need to be *better* than an equivalent number of cannon or arrow towers.

Suggestion regarding lag: reduce your target frame rate to 10-15 fps and increase the movement per frame to compensate. For fast mode, increase the movement per frame further instead of increasing the frame rate.

enjoyable, but very slow (even on fast), need to know what upgrade will provide, how much damage fire towers etc do. but I go bored by level 7 as it is way too easy (completed lvl 6 & 7 with a single arrow tower)

Ok I've reduced the effectiveness of the upgrades a little and slightly increased the multiplier which gives monsters more health each round.

Great. So now, instead of building ONE arrow and upgrading. You build dozens and upgrade them. Still zero strategy or thinking involved.

VoltesV beat me to it...you can beat the entire game by building one single arrow tower and upgrading it to the max. And please make a faster game speed, it's still to slow.

Poison tower is really weak. Fire towers are worse than arrow towers. chapter 7 with 3 arrow towers is easily doable. Maybe make it so armour increases with each wave that comes or something?

Increases the speed doesnt change the speed the creeps come making it v easy. They still spawn at same rate but everything else is going quicker so the gap between each mob is massive
