The game is awesome, though could add better stuff. Like jakobbe said, it would be cool to be able to purchase planet coins with gold.

Just takes too long between game play for me. I like the idea but I am sitting waiting for up to 15 minutes between making moves already, shame...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Haa, I should have seen this from the beginning, what we have here is a sort of false dilemma. As I've said before, why wouldn't you add points in attack or defense? There aren't just three "paths", there are hundreds of them. The legions and equipment are there as to allow the player to get a taste of the end game raids. In the long run attack and defense do matter in raids. Yes, you can't be the best at anything if you only add to attack or defense, but that point is moot, as you would only need to add a few points into stamina in order for it to be effective, all the rest can be added to attack and defense. Scratch that, you can be the best at jousting even if you don't put any points in stamina as jousting relies on honor, which rises with each level automatically.
P.S. Don't you like debates? But you know, the only reason I'm continuing this talk with you is because I just can't stand it when people say stupid things, whether they be opinion or not.

Im suggesting that there are three paths, high stamina, high energy, or a balance of both which mirror the classes. All of these paths require energy and/or stamina but not atk or def. You can't be the best anything with only atk and def because they're optional stats. Energy and Stamina are not optional for each of the three rational paths. The fact that legions and equipment play the largest part in overall atk power and def only helps my claim that the stats are unbalanced and broken. Though, I regret replying so someone who enjoys debate.

My, how unusual it is to find myself commenting three times in a row, I do apologize for all the inconvenience this may bring to others.
s8219090, I would also like to remind you that there are puzzles in this game in the form of crafting. There are components that can only be found by going to certain areas to do certain things, while wearing certain equipment, and with certain people in your legion.

As for the thing about energy, some people, such as I, would rather prefer not to rush things, but rather have a large enough energy pool for a day, dump it all at once, and wait for the next day to once again drown myself in the world of fantasy. The same can be said for a good book, you can't read it in a single day, but rather taste the succulence of each chapter, stopping once in a while for fear of diabetes, while Dream World would be the book with a mediocre story that leaves a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter to keep you reading until you've burnt yourself out. Haa, truly the internet has given birth to children who consume knowledge rather than revel in it.

Again with the stupid arguments. So basically you're looking for a game where you linearly put stats in a single thing in order to become stronger? Why would you even not put points in attack or defence? Basically, as I've already said, it's on how you want to play, you can be the best quester, finishing the story as quick as possible, or you can be the high stam guy who helps out failing raids, or perhaps you could be a PVP behemoth. Also, the problem of having low attack, as far raids go, can be remedied by having good equipment and a good legion. Being "strongest" does not have a definition, as even in big MMORPGs such as WoW there are people who are strongest in raids, being able to carry a weak team through Naxxramas and yet can be easily dispatched by a good enough Rogue, who would have difficulty in such raids. The DotD community is a varied one.

@blasblas
As for stats, being the strongest is contradictory to the fact that your not the best and will always finish last. This is contradictory to the fundamentals of an mmo in which being the strongest means being the most efficient and having the ability to complete all things sooner as a result. There isn't enough strategy or difficulty to bring success-rates into the equation yet. In other words, name one thing that can't be completed without spending at least one point on either str or def. Then say that all quests and actions can be done with the base amount of energy and stamina. IN EVEN more alternative words, I'm saying that str and def are completely optional but there are things that can't be done without putting points into energy or stamina.
Conclusion:Broken stat system

@blasblas you can play the first 51 levels to your content, unrestricted. You can buy energy with gold at an obscene price. Crystals return energy. Mushrooms give energy. Everything is 1-2 energy. You can't contest its popularity or superior system compared to this game. Also, the battles are interactive and there are puzzles. You'll always end up playing it longer than this.

And you have tons of personal experience making animations for games and know how the coding and scripting and animating and drawing and voice acting all work so if thats your approach show me your game i'd love to see how shitty it must be
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@irjebus, the regeneration rate improves when you get a class upgrade at 100 and some other level.
@s8219090 the energy system in Dream World sucks, because it has a hard cap that the player cannot influence and it is up to the devs whether they'll add a new "badge" or quest to increase said cap. This is really something I've seen no sense in complaining at, even less than the guys who simply complain about the wait. It's all in how you want to play the game, those who improve attack and defense are going to lack the energy and stamina you have, they may be an unstoppable force in the battle arena, but they won't progress as much as you do, due to the lack of stamina and energy.
@everyone, is my frequent commenting getting annoying?

Devin if you atually played this game for atleast a week you would know you DON'T need money to get far in this game and it's atually more fun playing it slow then just completing it with money anyway

Dude.... Go to facebook. The stat system is hideously broken and the design is not suitable for this site. I'm not dissing the genre or anything, but this is NOT your target audience here.

Again! One more game that has a lot of potential but is ruined because we are required to purchase something to get anywhere reasonable in the game. 1 Star, if there were negative ratings I would give the worst. I'm tired of these MMOs being put on Kongragate, it used to be a place where people posted free games only.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I enjoy the game but... Timers are too long. Maybe shorten them to 50-50/60-40/40-60 (classes) rather than 110-110/100-120/120-100.

The content may be good but the delivery is poor and its fair to rate it with that in mind. It has nothing to do with energy. Energy games like WarMetal Tyrant and Dream World already know how to impose limitations at least within reason. This is unreasonable. The stat system is broken at best. The base values for energy and stamina are horrible. Even if kreds are spent on full energy bonus armor, the progression is mud. All energy systems are not created equally so it really has nothing to do with the genre; it's this system specifically. If there's are curve at which the game becomes more enjoyable, its too far off.

When I was young people rated games based on how well they made the game, not hating it just because of the genre type. If you don't like these games don't play them because it's not fair for the creators that you are rating their games badly just because you decided to go on a game you already knew you hated from the beginning
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really hate people who act like that...Just because it's not your type of game does not make it horrible and here is another thing, no matter what kind of game it is think of how long it takes to do the animations, storyline and scripting well if you are gunna call this game horrible whats your excuse?

seems pretty much the same chronicles of herenvale to me so far except for a few diffrences in quest layout. lets hope it doesnt make you spent $300 just to keep up with other players on raids like that did
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Jesus Christ, the stamina system here is shitty, forgive my choice of words. Maybe it gets better later but so far, this game is not fun.
But so far, as I understand it, you're forced to increase it through stat points, meaning I either have to be weaker in combat than others that put their stat points into combat stats.
On the plus side, its possible to craft items into stat points to use, but that still means I have to wait to fight to kill to spend points on perception (I think?) to hopefully find the required items to craft into stat points.
I at least wish the energy requirement wasnt increased on quest battles so quickly and highly.
Aside from that, I like that there are no classes, meaning character development is completely up to the player and not influenced by your character class like other MMORPG's.
Also, I like that this game takes place in the same universe as The Clash Of The Dragons, I like that game.

Is it just me or this game is just like the Legacy of the Thousand Suns, only in other setting? I mean, i know that they're made by the same person(s), but it's just that it's almost EXACTLY like the other game mentioned... That makes no sence for me...

Unless there's going to be more stuff to do in a guild, then I play for 30 seconds then wait for 7 min to press an attack button once or twice. When I level I'll get another 30 seconds. Even if the game gets better or easier, it takes too much patience. For now, its more of a chore than it is fun and this is only the start of the game. I just want to know at what point will it make sense not to put every point into energy and stamina. When will a single minor quest not take a bar and a half or more of energy. When can gold buy something worthwhile instead of more gold. Maybe its just around the corner, after this quest or this boss. I'll give the game a chance at that time. For me its a shiny string of dream world demos until then. I must be missing something, please explain.

Personly I dont see why people complain about this game. This games tutorial explains mostly everything and gives you a base storyline. The energy/stamina/honor system is quite useful as it encourages players to play constantly - that is probably the reason it is there. Raids on this may not be that good compared to legacy of a thousand suns but they have decent artwork. As for people complaining about multiple items.... its OK but do you really need several pairs of trousers to fight a kobold or something?

1.)Wonderful tutorial; it's very well written and manages to partially immerse oneself in the game even while explaining things.
2.)From what I saw so far, it has a good story line; for a moment there I felt like I was playing an old 'Roguelike' Game.
*Pffffft*.) Sadly, it's just yet another 'Wait for this timer to go down to get 1 Energy/Stamina/Stars/Rage/Crap - to be able to do anything game; oh wait, you can buy enough of the "Crap" you need for only 1 dollar'. *sighs*
4.)In conclusion, try using your game team to make an RPG that is not on a TIMER.
