Geez, I was one of the beta testers for this game, have silently played it on and off since that day... and now its gone

Best of their lot, really. I still don't understand how it was losing money. Would've pulled a few resources from one of the others myself.

It's down.
Gone.
Destroyed.
Farewell, good friends and Captains of your various ships- it was great serving with you all. But all good things come to an end, and this is no exception. May there be another Kong game to rival this someday.

Well, rest in peace Legacy of a Thousand Sun. This game built so many strong bonds between players and devs alike, had a strong and compelling story and wasn't afraid to kill off characters for the sake of artistic vision, and it has one of the best lores through the story and through the item descriptions. This game may not have lasted forever, but it burnt like a truly bright star, and our memories of this game will be the Legacy of a Thousand Suns.

Seems like I missed out on a good game, but I will forever be bothered by the fact that I'll no longer be able to get all the badges

not a bad MMO, and its nice of the devs to give away a lot of free stuff a month before the game shuts down, well done on running a successful MMO on kong for many years and going out with grace at the end

Very funny. Just as Im halfways through the game, hey suddenly get the idea that it´s not profitable enough anymore. Tch. If all devs out there had just given up when their moolah dropped a bit, we would nowadays not have the mass of awesome games that we all know we have. It´s no surprise that players are leaving when oney is the #1 priority to the Devs. Ima stop playing 5P´s stuff when Suns in down.

I remember playing this game back when I was just starting high school. As an avid fan of sci-fi and fantasy I immediately fell in love with the incredibly fleshed out world and strong characters, who each had their own story to tell. I also thought it genius to have this set in the same world as DotD(a game I also love), as it was interesting to see the age-old fight against the dragons still continue long after Tor'gyll had vanished from existence. I am now in my third year of college, and even though this game is coming to an end, the fun times I had while playing it will always live on in my memory.

I'm going to miss you game. I watched your story grow for years, since I first started college in years past, and progressed with my Captain. I saw you turn from a game with no features, with a lacking concept of world raids, up to a game with a thriving and powerful community. I saw the story become this sprawling, awesome piece of literature most games can't get even near competing with. And I stayed around, though sometimes infrequently, to see it through. And I thank you for all this time.
It's over, warrior. It's time to finally rest. You did better than anyone else, Kasan.
