Could really use a pause button and instructions on how to use the special upgrades, or they just don't work. Otherwise, brilliant game! Course, that dang company lion is still chasing me....

nice game, work out the kinks and it'll be great. Button to the upgrade screen would be nice, and some upgrades don't seem to work like the dual color thing and the shield (or i haven't figured out how). Final boss can be messy when some bullets pass right through my paddle. And after everything is upgraded, don't give any more upgrades after levels as they cause you to get stuck in the upgrade screen with nothing left to choose (a 'back' button would do too)
Concept is good though, keep em coming!

I played this game back in September 2010 when it was released, it's still a good game as it was before. Good job :). Favorited.

If you can fix the glitch dwhere you get the .50 bullets go right through the enemy that would be greatly appreciated, otherwise grat game! 5/5

achievements.bat opens up to show ... achievements.dll?
And DLL's aren't executable, so I'm not sure why it's not settings.bat ...

If you're going to include an arbitrary ceiling, please mark it. Just about every time something didn't work properly, it was because my paddle didn't respond (either because it was being stupidly slow or because it hit the ceiling.

Your using massive window backdrops of your desktop screen to display icons for achievements,settings,briefing and play.exe - this is inflating the game size by an extra 1mb.
Try to use png/jpg images for them instead in your fla.

I'm confused. On node 9 when I realized what I needed to do I decided it wasn't worth the trouble and decided I wasn't going to waste my time doing 20 to get it right. Instead when my health reached 0 my paddle automatically rammed it and killed it. So I just won by losing....

Hmm, I lick on an upgrade and the page changes, I dont know if the upgrade was bought or not, and I cant go back to the upgrades page to check.
It is a shame that a nice-looking game is hurt by a poor menu interface.

in the achivements page it says the file is achievement.dll and in the main menu where you click to go into it it says its a batch file :/

robdfa: all of the special abilities are activated by holding down Ctrl. (Each special upgrade ability overwrites the previous one, so they all use the same key) I'm not sure about the shield, but the dual color reflection ability doesn't change your paddle's graphics at all, so it's not obvious that it's activated. It works, though, as long as you have the energy for it (measured by the bar on the right side of the screen).

cool game, but i'm colorblind and cannot tell the difference between the blue and the purple at all, thus making any level past 2 impossible...could you make a colorblind mode with two very different colors or something?

its so easy to get all the upgrades, when you click an upgrade and the screen fades, you can just click all of the upgrades.

BUG: If you hit the "back" button while in the upgrade screen, then you lose that upgrade forever. After completing the next level, you cannot select two upgrades. And I do not see any way to return to the upgrade screen when you're in the menu between levels.

Spelling Nazi Comment: You've got a couple typo errors "Know* to humans" should be "Known" and "An* sudden and extreme case of amnesia" should be "A"
Real comment: Very fun game. It starts off a little confusing, but gets easier gradually. I personally enjoyed it. 4/5

You need to have the text checked by an editor. Only played to the third level and saw a few errors. For example, the first briefing tells you to click on lab.exe to start, but the 'file' you click on is actually play.exe. Some grammar and spelling issues, too.
