trying to think of a backstory. he's a super competitive Olympic runner and everyone's like "larry are you gonna get out of the city before they destroy it?" and he's like "no. i enjoy the challenge." and everyones like "goddamnit larry."

things that I learned: if two crates are on one roof, only hit one of them or they'll ruin your day, dont panic, take breaks if you need to, and only hit crates if you can (aaants explains more stuff and better)

@albertillo: Please post a source if you make a comment about who helped make what games. I found on wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Baranowsky) that he did help make this game and Crypt of the Necrodancer, but I had to do some digging to find a source.

This game would be a lot easier if you could jump right away, if you get on a platform and you immediately have to jump there's a tiny delay

yeah, a game that is so simple that all you do is jump should jump 100% of the time I press the button. Yet this game does not. The idea that you have to jump early enough to successfully land into a small window (pardon the pun) makes the game frustratingly challenging, not fun challenging. 1/5

Seriously, when you press Jump, It doesn't matter you choose C, X or Spacebar becaseu that crazy man will not trust you and choose not to jump.

True, it's actually super rigged and it's solely based onto luck. It took me over 100 tries (or more) to get the medium badge and the only tips I can give are: follow Aaants's comment from 2010 (it's the 3rd comment in BEST list) and pray to not get windows (or if you do, pray that they aren't low range ones that are impossible to pass).

Ok, that's it. In these days I've played a lot of pixel and 5 minutes games, and the majority share the same negative aspect. RNG bullshit. You can have feline reflexes, be a gamer master, but guess what? RNG says nope. And you waste time playing the game. Some people like it, some don't as in everything. But whenever I see a badge associated to RNG, it's an insta 1 star for the game. And this game is one of them. You can never bump into anything and jump in frame perfect spots, but guess what? A window placed far above or below you, or a bomb falling on a short platform so that you cannot avoid death.
Games should be about skill, not on how lucky is your run!

"I ran 4568m before hitting a wall and tumbling to my death in Canabalt" Yeah looks like a nice thing to tweet without much context

@BloodyThistle This interesting object you speak of is most likely a colossal spaceship/warship that appears at 5k and vanishes when you reach 10k. Apparently, it's the first and only change to the background we will be seeing.

@JeremyS1708 Either it's a quirk with whatever you're running this on, or you are in desperate need of an upgrade.
@performance7777 It's more like Vector's *inspiration*. It predates Vector by a long shot.
