It may not take 50 tries to beat all the levels, b0b, but with the game/controller lag, it sure feels like it. Seriously, Akirasan, why? It's not as though it takes a Cray 50 just to register a freaking mouse click. How about some coding efficiency? As if being forced to hold down the mouse button for several seconds just to get it to register wasn't bad enough, why is the animation in this game measured in seconds/frame? I swear, the dice in this game take 2-3 seconds for each frame that it takes them to roll! The old version never suffered from this drastic lag, so why should this one? The countries are gradient filled? Great! Just draw up the map in a paint program and store the PNG files in your program! Done! As far as the animated ocean goes, I'm sure there has to be some efficient way for Flash to do an overlay over top of a scrolling tiled background. The rest of the game appears to be identical to the original. Fix those 2 things and the lag should be gone!

If this is intended to imitate Risk or Warlight, it only looks the part. The design and odds obviously favour the AI, the interface is clunky and the decision to force any movement to end all attack options makes no sense. Very disappointing.

This is possibly the worst game i have ever played. I'll attack a square with one army, with a total of ten armies, then i'll lose them all. Then the computer will put ten in that square and destroy me, EVERY TIME. FIX THIS NOW!!!

this really sucks . whats the point in placing your troops after your players plays his turns ?? of course is an advantage for him since he attacks a player who has depleted his troops in his precedent attacking turn ... this is so retarded

giving a star cause hate pointless risiko . also the music is stolen from a strategic game from sierra or something like that , caesar or stuff like that

I'm not sure, but it seem it's fixed. The odds after 100 rounds is 37% in my favor.
That is pretty much impossible if it's really random

F*ck this game, 1/5, its very unfair, quality isnt even that great, minimal depth and over all just a dumb creation. I have to admit the idea of it was good, but the game itself sucks.

It's easy, all you have to do is find a corner where there are only a few ways of them reaching you and defend until you have enough forces to wipe out everything.

Incorporate troop numbers into the battles please, at least then we can trust that large numbers will beat the smaller ones

Really, I don't think it actually is random. He has made a mistake or has made it purposefully more difficult, on the first level, I had 12 troops on my front line and 10 countries, he had 4. he reinforced his country to 7 then trounced 24 troops and followed through everywhere else so I had 3 countries even though only one troop is meant to be sent through, I then used my remaining 12 to get countries back, on first attempt I lost 8, I try somewhere else and lose 3. Then he beats me next turn. Fix the random engine it can't be correct

The compy has the advantage? Guys, it's a 3 die limit. Haven't you noticed how when you lose with 13 guys only 3 die are thrown? It's not 13 die or something, if 13 die were thrown it would be an instant win, seeing as the minimum number would be 13.
In less words, 3 units works as well as 48, but if you have 48 you can restock units. So to guys like big bo, take that into mind.

ok yea the games reallyyy hard to win, but it is possible i assure you... just might take a while to learn a strategy, and a good starting spot. Usually the trick is to get a solid part of the map and let the enemies kill eachother, and slowly dominate the map.

v.s computer: odds may seem stacked at times, but will even out if you play smart.. which isn't so difficult. I used to like this game, but that is when it was NEW, and people played the multiplayer.

You are a rising general with aspirations to take over the world. With horrible troops, limited tactical ability odd recruitment methods, and no ICBM's to speak of, see to it that your life's goal is realized!
don't cry when it takes 50 tries to beat all the levels.

3/5. Its a decent risk game, but the computer seems to have an advantage over you half the time and i don't like how the game bases who loses off of highest dice and not total amount show on the dice.

3/5 stars but has potential to be 5/5 keep working on it :) would love to see a 2.0 with less computer advantage and maybe something like you can buy horses and annon but they have an advantage like horses can move 2 contrys instead of one and cannon can attack 3 contrys away and cannot die because of it but they cannot defend (good for when you have one country compleatly safe that cant do anything also would like to see ability to play on whole globe at once

Why does the enemy get two dice whilst you get only 1...They have a maximum of 12 defence yet you can only have a max 5 attack...You only win if they get something like a two and another 2 and you get a 6...THEY HAVE DOUBLE THE CHANCES OF VICTORY!...0/5

games sucks it does not let me send my men to the emeny and it sucks so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The computer seems to have a ridiculous advantage on dice rolls, I attacked the same country with one army in it from four different countries and lost 11 armies, and then on the comps next turn it took all four of those countries from me without losing a single army.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
...... this game sucks. half the time it never shows the roll, and it will let the computers choose whether they attack right after reenforcing. this is a 0/5.

it's just not exactly a clever idea...some people at least give the places new names, and some go as far as to make certain areas have a better chance of winning against certain other areas...but this is just a sad remake. If I had invented Risk, I'd be infuriated.

It is not a strategy, I won Like twice, Lost a few too, but just seriously stop making this ganre, make a cooler game I know you can do it.
