This game has lot of potential but could be lot better with little chances. Suggestions: Unequip and sell equipment options. Better explanations about stats in tutorial. More balanced items (mostly macig ones) And last could be cool if we were able the see equipments we equiped on our gladiators in game.

good base for a solid game, but needs more diversity in equipment, gladiator types, and spells... making damage less random would help a lot, spells and ranged weapons could have range + AoE, spells need to include buffs/debuffs, gladiators could have special abilities that cost stamina (example: an ability that attacks all adjacent enemies), weapons could have procs, etc

Enemies are way way WAY too well equipped (Flame Sword in 2nd Tier, Kris in 3rd Tier), while the player has to win about 10 battles just to buy a Short Sword or a Quarter Staff. Hard earned 3/5 because it would be fun with a revision.

Very promising game (perhaps a little too easy and random but I give it a 5/5 anyway). Tactical turn based rpg are too rare in flash games and on pc in general. For a sequel I suggest more differences between gladiator races with activable special racial powers.

Armor = DEF/2. Min Dmg = STR/3; Max Dmg = Min Dmg + STR/2. Ranged ~ 4*AGI + (0-10%). Melee ~ 2.4*AGI + 42%. Dodge ~ 0.6*AGI + 7.2% (+/-~1% racial mod). (always round down). Can't figure out why STA is useful. I started with 2 melee combatants and built up to 4 melee with 1 archer; winning was fairly straightforward. Perhaps magic is underpowered.

I saw no bugs. First, if you let the computer buy you a ready-made team to start, then you won't get the 1000 gp - instead you'll get a team and equipment worth more than 1000. Second, when you are the visiting team, you get no gold from ticket sales even if you won (you only get a small winning bonus such as 70 gp for League 3).

No, spells do not cost money per use. they do require an amount of stamina that my not let your gladiator move on his next turn, if he doesn't have enough. plan carefully.

this is an incredible game because it goes really smoothly and isnt buggy plus it is acrually quite fun. i would give it a 5 out of 5 but only a few improvments. some more spells, mabye special attacks and i agree with twanfr, some racial bounuses or powers.Apina i will help u make this game a hit . pleeeeeeeeease make a seaquel (num. 2). TY.

Does the magic stat effect anything at all? Your hit rate will always be 80% with 8-12 damage with magic missile. Am i missing something?

I finally beat the game with my latest team. I noticed that after I picked up the saved game, the end of season was always the same. I still advanced in the leagues and won prize money, but it says I'm still in 2nd league.
Overall a good game, needs a few thing like an explanation on combat (hit, dodge, speed and dmg), equipment switching and storage, racial balancing (humans are no good, elves and harmen are too week despite good dodge and hit, orks are pretty good, as are minotaurs and trolls, ghouls and golems are the best if you can find one with high hit %, wraiths do some nasty magic dmg), magic is pretty good at low lvels, but I never bother with healing or high lvl spells, I stick with the lower lvl ones as they are easier to cast. I enjoyed it once I figured it out. Hoping to see a sequel some time!

Surely this game has it's shortcomings, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
It's true that the hit/miss system is annoying in the beginning, but as you play more and more, you will see that it's actually not unpredictable, but behaves in a very constant manner.
This game does very little to drag the player into it's world in the beginning, but it has a lot to offer.
It has a very steep progression curve, but that makes it so much more rewarding to complete on the other hand.
I for one had a great time with this game, and it's a clear 5/5 from me. Keep up the development :)

STA is only used for MAGIC att. Found that out the hard way, when buying spells it says Cost:--, and I wasn't aware the cost was referring to STA. Purchased "Scorching Beam" which costs 24 and now I am completely unable to have my assigned magic user cast said spell at his level due to a lack of STA. Overall good game. 4/5

There should be one item stash,so you buy items and they appear there, then you could equip and unequip manualy, then you could recycle equipment that is useless to one member by giving to another instead of having to buy another to the other member!

a bit too easy, but nice
the problem is that damage is way too random - having phoenix arm my gladiator was killed (23 dmg) by wrath with basilard

"Dear son,
I'm so proud of you. Making it there in the big city with all your fancy friends and fancy gladiators. I bet you just have to beat the girls off with a stick. I've been saving money for a new cow, but you'll make better use of it.
Love, mom"
best. letter. EVER!

actually some races have racial abilities sort of like the spectres make great mages and the harmen make great ranged.
