For those curious about how to play this with SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0012/4337/live/secure_Glissaria_K.swf?kongregate_game_version=1316060268 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here (Used Google Chrome dev tools to get the link).

Very fun game, I love the combination of rpg tower defence with resources via match 5. I feel like there's a more modern of this game that I can't recall at the moment, but super fun, not too hard either.

awesome game,I like that there's no tutorial-mode or "endless" text to read/skip. I like the upgrade-feaure and got the "hard"-badge before solving the prev. one there xD the pause-button is very useful, also that upgrades are still possible to use, equipments to choose from, etc. there should be a kong-badge about the in-game archivements too :-)

A drawback of the resource collection mechanic is that you lose the enjoyment of watching your carefully placed towers obliterate everything.

The only thing missing is some way to tell how far into the level you are.... I often finish the match with a ton of unused resources because the monsters were already well handled and I didn't pause to use them because I was too focused on making matches.... also it would be nice if any match over 5 got you some kind of bonus... but as far as I can tell it only gets you the number of tiles matched.

This is one of the best tower defense games I have played on Kong. The only issue that I have had is the birds; I keep thinking that a slime is coming.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wish there was a way to turn off birds. I see movement headed towards my tower and panic and have to take attention away from gem matching to determine what the movement is, wasting time. Other than that solid game, shame it's so short.

games based on matching mechanics are generally bad. but this one is especially annoying - it has towers, the hero, gems and stuff, there's a fierce fight going on, and... i can't see it, cause i'm busy with matching shit. people are enjoying this? sounds crazy to me.
and seriously, there's not much deep to it. strategy is very straightforward, and in the end it all comes to a bit of luck, or solid amount of grinding hero's levels (and gear).

Fair game, I dislike gems and though and would love an alternative to gather resources. Perhaps memory matching instead?

Excellent game, very addictive! I initially came for the badge of the day and ended up finishing all of story mode on hard difficulty (and earning the middle badge in-between). Haven't had this much fun in a while!

@disrighthereismy You might consider trying to read the tutorial. For me, I find they often help explain how mechanics work in most games, and this game is no exception. Or you could close your eyes, click through it as fast as you can, fail to understand even the self-evident mechanics, complain in the comments and then rate it 1/5. Whichever makes you happier.

Ok, I ruined my endless game to turn the music back on. Please either add the option to go back to an endless game later on, change music options midgame, or both. Besides that, absolutely amazed this is a Ludum dare game! Amazing quality, great idea and execution!

1/5 i have literally no idea what im doing. music sucks and graphics suck. looks like this is a trash tower defense game, but i can only place 1 tower. i dont know how to get more money or why there is some dude moving around on the screen. there is some weird board on the left, but i have no idea what to do with it. there is too much information on the play field and no explanation on what to do with them. garbage game. 1/5 dont know how to play. this is my message to you all; skip this garbage and rate it a 1/5

This game is trying to be too many things at the same time. The match 5 game is great and seems to be the best way to level up the hero. So I just focused on that. The tower defense game and equipment management aspects were just a distraction.

This game is brilliant! It's a well balanced tower defense that allows you to gain certain type of resources accordingly. Although the rush of frequent need of different resources to keep up with the waves of mobs completely takes out a more strategical potential to the game. But let's not get too complicated here, the game is fine the way it is and I enjoyed it very much!

Fun game but I wish there would be more precise dps tooltips for each tower and for the prince. Also it gets pretty fast quite boring in endless mode. Maybe there could be way for automatic resource farming or something that would cost some resources but then you wouldn't have to manually match the tiles for +20 minutes or so all the time x'D Also I'd wish that you could combine gems to get more powerful gems for towers.

I don't even know where to start about this game. It's definitely overcomplicated and the text is distant and not designed well enough to keep my attention. Overall, it was just too confusing at the start to make me want to continue. However, everything but the text and actual gameplay is quite well designed, and the music is good, except that it doesn't seem fitting. The developer absolutely has the potential to make good games, I've actually played some of his other ones and they were decent, but he's not very good at the tower defence/strategy games.

For the badge, In the first map when it says "Get 5 wood and build a tower" don't build a tower but keep matching red stars untill he levels up. yes it's a bit tedious work.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
absurdly overcomplicated and mind-numbingly stupid TD variation. the reason to remake a game style is to make it better than the original or offer something stunningly original to replace it. this game does neither, but is simply revolting. nice music, but that's it. what a waste.

Awesome game I normally almost instantly back out of games that are matching game hybrids like this and if I don't back out quick I don't stay all that long.... but this one is awesome just wish it was longer it was kinda a short game it sucks that this has been out so long with so little plays.

I just played this game and got by hard mode from levels 1-8 without losing a single life in a go. My Strategy for this is
1. Just keep matching stuff (focusing mainly on wood) until the enemy has gotten past your hero and is at danger
2. I use only 1 sweep tower and 1 swift tower, the rest I spam arrow towers. (You can use other towers as well, doesn't matter) Make use of all your resources and orbs, making sense of them. (Poison orbs go on high damage towers, stun/slow/curse on sweep, damage/etc on swift)
3. Repeat, that is just keep matching stuff until the enemies has gotten to a dangerous point and start using all your resources/equipment/orbs
Using this I didn't even have to look at the map other than seeing if the enemies are too close, and I didn't lose a single life. So the focus for me is just keep matching.
