I don't like using the Z and C keys to dash and the X key to teleport. I would prefer having to double tap A or D to dash and press Shift to teleport. Another solution is to allow control customization.

Controls have been tighten in the "sequel".

A complaint, the dash controls. Why can't it be double tapping A or D?

Probably the most repeated complaint I've ever gotten. One of the most important key-points when designing TFDW2 was to reduce the number of buttons used to control the player.

1) Press "n" to disable perks like the meteors and drills. So you can do the "kill everything with one gun" challenges.
2) The level cap is raised to 60 after beating the 2nd last level, so don't worry about choosing perks badly. You'll only miss 1. (level 60 - level 1 = 59 perks of 60 total)
3)Level up guns to the max. Most of them gain extra abilities or become 2x as kickass when you get to level 5, (and after the fortress, level 6). For example, quicksilver gains homing abilities when it gets to level 5.
4) If you don't want medals, and you just want to kill things gloriously, try the in-game cheat code: "poo". If you don't want to die, try "poppi". Just type them in while playing the game.
You're supposed to find them by beating the last challenge level on masochist, but ah well. There's really nothing to enjoy about them after you've beat the game that badly.

Regarding the perks: Yeah, I screwed up the math pretty badly on that one. My bad!
