So, i love the shift series, until we come to this one. Multiple characters + lots of locks and keys takes out all strategyy and turns the game into pure trial and error. There is this annoying bug where shifting with one character makes others die, due to their position on screen changing while the screen is shifting(and it happens a lot! like, already happened about 20 times in the past 10 minutes or so). There's also another one where the level randomly restarts while no character died. And if that wasn't enough, there are still some crashes because of the script, and there's no save feature. Yea, i was hoping for a shiny kongpanion, guess i won't have it.

This game is devolving from puzzle to trial and error/memory game. No longer any fun due to it being complicated not in how we think about solving but what we try. I dont mind complicated puzzles that require us to think a lot, but most of the time in this game there isnt a chance for progressive logical thought, just trial and error.

This game is missing instructions or tutorial. New player doesn't know about shift/space keys that are crucial for playing this game.

How do you shift? Use the SHIFT key... space to jump, CTRL to control the other character, and SPACE to, um, surround yourself with empty space? Well, there isn't a JUMP key, so SPACE had to do. I wouldn't mind being able to assign my own keys for controls, but it'll do.

Due to the lack of any kind of instructions I would guess that this game assumes you have played the previous version? There's nothing listed under "instructions" other than an apparent copy/paste of the description from above. It looks like an interesting game but some sort of instuctions/tutorial would be an improvement. I'm waiting to rate it until I see how the game play is but that's definitely going to effect my rating; I shouldn't have to google to figure out how to play. (and yes, I get that you have to shift, but there's obviously more to it than just that. Shifting resulted in my being stuck right off the bat before I even made it to the second room).

Shift 4 has 4 badges, Shift 3 has 3 badges and Shift 1 has 1 badge. How cool would it have been if Shift 2 would have had 2 badges? I think that was a missed opportunity.

0 Instructions, trial and error, and I don't even know which room I am supposed to clear or go to in order to advance. A game that had potential but just is frustrating to play in the end.

Muting is annoyingly only temporary. Every time you finish a chapter it comes blaring back on and you have to wait till the next chapter to pause and mute again.

Skipping this badge. Controls aren't bad but the game is too trial and error-ish. I don't want to spend an entire afternoon on this one - no fun factor.

Can anyone actually explain why your companion occasionally just spontaneously explodes, or failing that both people seem fine but there's a random splat of blood on screen and the level needs to be restarted?

I love all of the SHIFT games, but this one is by far the best one in the series! Love the game, looking forward to the next one! (Hopefully.) Anyways, great job! 5/5

I have to say, I am normally very pleased with these games and their ingenuity in level design, but with this one, I really think that with having to control two people, and numerous extraneous keys that don't seem to have any indication as to what locks they will rotate and in what direction, the solutions for some of the levels is simply trial and error

Entering certain rooms requires to do the entire room just to exit again. I re-entered a room by accident, and would've had to redo the puzzle again. I closed the game instead, as oversights like that break the enjoyment of a game for me.

Just finished it, for badges: Foreclosure, chapter 2 go to room 11 and get to door 16. For Whoops, get in shuttle at end. For Black and White flippin out badge, get good ending and beat 3 levels in 2 minutes. For Hardclass, beat user levels on hard. It is possible!

With no explanation of what each key does, it's pretty unfair to have a key that locks away as soon as you pick it up. It's like an "instant lose" item. I know complaining about this old game isn't going to change it, but future developers need to know that a cheap trick like that doesn't make a player happy.

For all of those who has/had problems in chapter 1 of trying to go from lvl 2 to lvl 9, go back to room 1. You can't reach room 9 until chapter 2. I had the same confusion.

I give up trying to get the woots badge. I get so far and then in the middle of a shift the script dies on me and I'm left with a non-working game screen with no character, the timer frozen, and no way to correct it besides reloading the page. This is now the fourth time it's happened, so I'm done with this game.
