I just outsmart the enemy: AI always prefers to attack the closest target. 1-3 healers, 2-3 tanks and mages for what's left, that how I played most of the game.

is it jsut me opr are the last 2-3 missions WAY harder than the rest?
for the last mission I got all the mages, healers, snipers and 2 meleee guys and still get my a ss rap ed by the boss' underlings alone! :'O

While a decent game, it was too easy to beat in my oppinion. I haven't lost a single unit during the entire game and all levels except for the dragon can be rushed by berserkers and pirates as long as you have some hp regen (vial of life/blessed cup, etc).
As for beating the dragon: The strategy to outrange him that I've seen in the comments should work, but I've found the much more trivial solution is to just tankhis damage with a crusader, healing him each turn. Dragon does at most 200 damage and crusader has 35% P-DEF, thus he will take at most 130 damage from one attack. His base health is 120 and thus you only need one health item to prevent him from dying, and next turn you can heal him back to full. Like every uni in the game the dragon will attack the closest unit, and thus all your other units can attack safely from a distance.

Very nice game , wish it was x4 times as long ! , one thoe i lost the final battle against the dragon all my men where dead and it still said i won :D,Legend has it that one of my men spent the night in an disreputable tavern and contracted a nasty disease and when the dragon eat him he also cought it and there for died and thats how i won ? :-)

rofl last level its as if AI had most of the upgrades I can buy for all my guys wth...we should be able to chose artifacts for each character not to affect them all at the same time...If I want strong magic I'm stuck with weak warriors and archers...

Nice game, reminds me of shinning force. Mages should be able to cast AOE spells wherever they wanted! It's really weird that they can only target the ground between 2 enemies when they don't have more moves z_z Also late game seems quite unbalanced...

The units I create should be automatically selected. That way I don't have to waste my time clicking on them whenever I want them to create a tower. It causes a huge delay which I could have spent upgrading other units or calling the wave early. The upgrade system is a little bit off, I think it needs to be completely re-worked. I give this game a 3/5 for a nice try.

If the developers can’t even figure out how to make separate controls for music and sound effects, they deserve to have their games rated 1/5.

Some tips:
- In case of doubt, field an army of Annies and Priests
- If a priest targets an enemy unit, she will deal damage
- High Priest will damage monsters AND heal allies within the area of effect
(Spoilers)
If you are too much a loser to figure out how to beat the Dragon, here you have two strategies:
1) Equip the Sorcerers Orb, and at least Range 3 units. Snipers (range 5+2) can move 1 square to get into position, fire and retreat. Annies and Priests, with Range 5 (3+2) can sneak behind the dragon and use the trees as cover to hit and run.
2) Equip the Sorcerer Orb, Adventurer Belt and Forest Whisper for a grand total of +1 Move and +4 Range. Snipers now have range 9 and outreach the Dragon. Annies and Battle Priests (Range 7) can move in, fire and retreat out of reach.

It has been a while since the last flash strategy game that forced me to notice the terrain in order to defeat a mission. Nice work.

what the hell i played a different version of this somewhere else it was a cool rts game not a lame boring turn based battle system 1/5

I didn't realize you could take each hero more than once.
This make Annie far more too powerful.
If you can only take each hero once, it makes the game a bit more challenging.
Lots of artefact get interesting, too.

Cool I played this in Hackedfreegames.com and cheats isnt fun but when i knew it can play here in kongregate (kongregate does not hack games) then those 2 heroes is available here (exept in other website) just play in this site if you dont want cheats to support this

Excellent game! I hate when people complain about trivial nuances.. This game has it's flaws but is far better than most games of this type on Kong..

This game is game is just awesome! It would be interesting if Annie could level just like a champion and you wouldnt be able to use more than 1 Annie per battle.
I would like to see more Tactics games like that.

you should make a multiplayer version of this game where you pick warrior archer mage or priest and level them up. also the enemys have way more health but i still owns them

1 recomendation about what themell said. if you have 6+ units and only dragon left. put all 1 square away from he attack range and send all to attack the dragon you ll lose a max of 3 units. ps: dont put your units together dragon have aoe spell :3 with 7 battle mages onyl sacrificed 2 at the end. only 2 turns to kill that bastard :3

How to win without problems :3 .dont use phisical heros. why? simple magic heros have high range, power and aoes/heals and you ll focus into buy items for mage (death mask, sorcer orb, wizard will). Tips with mage:. if you want dmg focus into fire mage. if you want resist/more range focus into annie the witch. have 1 high/battle priest at lasts levels (except last level. i recomend only 7 battle priests, why? simple high move speed, def, 1 heal restore full hp, and best dmg attack,), if you are facing melees only keep away from their range (4 squares) for phisical range, keep behind trees and when they are at your attack sight move 1 square soo you can see your oponent and atack him. and go to hide again (that also works good for rogues at last map) for wizards you wont have problems think like melees since you ll have more attack range+ move speed with battle priests/annie thx to sorcer orb. i hope this help you :3 i liked it 5/5 hope for more dificult stages+ exp+upgrades

Well i finish the game between 2 hours or so, a tips for players, it may be obvious for most people but... the heros can be hired more than 1 time, so you can use 2 heros with same name. Also when you gonna buy thing, use common sense, if for 30 gold you got a +10 to an status but for 60 gold you got +10 to two status you can skip buying that thing and buying the one that gives you 2 status improve. Well, thanks for the game i have fun, keep doing fun games, for the moment. Farewell =).

are the artifacts used by all of my heroes or only one, so when I equip some armor, do all my heores wear that, when battle starts?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Healers with area healing can't use their spells on heroes with full health. This is really annoying when there's a character right next to them that needs the heal, but they're out of range.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It might be much easier to have the artifact selection screen (and possibly the character screen) to have a "last used" feature or something since sometimes the same teams/artifacts are used from level to level.

"But hope still alive!" should be "But hope is still alive!". It's a neat concept of a game but it provided no challenge to me. =/

shallow story, no skill or leveling system, each unit only has one use. This type of game has been around far too long for these things to be forgivable. See disgaea series, final fantasy tactics, front mission series. 2/5

This has a lot of potential and could have been a lot better. Basic control issues and enemy AI are holding it back. Good artwork though.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game so far, but a few things. Area healers need to be able to be healed by their own spell if within the area. Need to be able to attack blank spaces with casters. Attack & move options separately. Good basis just improve on it. 4/5
